As much as I respect Ruairi, he is wrong in his analysis. In place of a strategy rooted in objective reality he offers ideology: in place of ambition he has obstinacy. This leads to an inability to distinguish a tactic from cherished doctrine. Result: muddle-headed thinking and confusion. He and his lot have failed to advance any coherent strategy, in fact any strategy at all.
As Martin said: "don't go my friends we shall lead you to the Republic."
