@bucthoui - Sure you could. There's no way I could cover all the permutations of this modification. I just covered the "how", and let the "where" up to the players.
@JackRockBLC Ok thank you for replying..... But can you make a video on how because i had just purchase my A5 today and i need to know how to connect the QD to the middle
Great vid. I kinda preferred the last method (nipple onto tombstone), adds less weight to the marker and like you said, it's better for close quarters. Thanks for the tips =)
ooo i did it the way u connected it at the end of the video..n i thought it was the wrong way haha im a noob my 1st marker...so i put the silver hose back on the gun hahah
how did you first get the QD off the ASA adapter? mine is ridiculously tight, so tight im stripping the grips on the ASA adapter! And where did you get the 45 degree angle? I'm guessing Menard's or Lowe's...
For starters, there is no QD on the ASA adapter of the A5. It's a crimped line into a specialized adapter. You have to buy a separate ASA adapter, and a seperate QD (QUICK Disconnect, which is why the thing on the A5 isn't a QD). I bought the fittings partially from Palmer's Pursuit, and some from the local pro shop. A few others from vendors at D-Day.
i meant the QD/ ASA adapter on the remote line, not the marker (I'm kind of a noob, but not that much on one) but i was able to get it off using a clamp.
Thanks for the quick response, and all these videos are really helpful...
Your marker is probably new. My A5 was about 4 or 5 years old when I filmed that vid. They wear down a little bit, and eventually get a little easier.
My remote line doesnt have a "slide check" and i ihavnt used it in combat yet but im worried that if i were to brush against the female part that the line would come loose and burn the shit out of me. Is there anything i can do to reduce the chance of this ahppening?
Not happening. The slide check would not prevent or help that, anyway. If you properly hooked it up, the QD coupling is under a lot of pressure which actually creates the seal and helps keep the coupling together. If you did NOT properly hook it up, it'll whip around as soon as you turn on the tank.
True, but not everybody learns the same way. Actually, this vid was created by a LOT of requests, so I try to make it as simple and complete as possible.
am i able to attach a remote coil with a expansion chamber kit?
Expansion chamber to remote
not the asa to the pistol grip adapter....
because i got a expansion chamber and i spent 43 dollars on it and i need a remote... but i dont want to attach the asa to the adapter only the Chamber kit
Great video. I don't have a remote for my 98 yet, but this video showed me what the gun would somewhat look like, even though you are using an A5. Do you know if you can connect the remote to the same area on a 98 custom as the tombstone on an A5?
Generally, the male end of the QD and its adapter already come with the remote. I've never seen a remote that didn't have one included. You should be set.
LOL! I'm sorry. I had two windows open, and replied to one, thinking I was in the other.
Yes, the exact same steps are applied to the MR1 as the Tippmann. All of the steps in this video are not specific to any marker. There are VERY few markers that you have to do it differently.
That's what this whole video is about. You see an example of disconnecting the two parts of the QD at 1:10.
At about 2:00, you see attaching the male end to an ASA adapter. You take that assembly (QD male end, and ASA adapter), and screw into the place where your tank goes on the marker.
I'm not a fan of Loc-Tite (red or blue) for paintball application. It's better for those who assemble the marker and never touch things like that...but I'm CONSTANTLY taking mine apart.
I also used it to replace my fill nipple on my HPA, so its not the same thing, I would probably use teflon tape for things like Quick Disconnects and other stuff like that :D
Can't you just add it to the middle of the marker?

Where else can you get a 45 degree angle if your nearest pro shop is 100 miles away. ( besides the internet)
btw great vids
murphyz40 3 years ago
Without driving 100 miles? Nowhere. And the chances of that pro shop having it anyway? Slim. Sorry, ordering is your best bet.
JackRockBLC 3 years ago
@murphyz40 Find a pneumatic / hydraulic supplier, that's where I got all my parts.

Can I have an On/OFf on my tank, and be able to take the remote coil off without having to rid all my air.
P8NTBALLING 3 years ago
Not really. You'd still lose all the gas in the remote line. Your best bet is to install a slide check in the end of the hose.
JackRockBLC 3 years ago
that was helpfull thanx
but i got 1 question how r ur pins so easy to take out and put back in mine r a pain in the ass to get out

Most remotes include the QD parts, as well as an ASA adapter. The ASA adapter and male QD nipple are usually pre-assembled.

It's possible, but you'd have to attach a quick disconnect nipple to the x-chamber.

Most pro shops should have them. If not, check out action village or palmer's pursuit shop.

SickModeFilms 3 years ago
You cannot, without some modification. And unfortunately, that's somewhat of a complicated one to show.
JackRockBLC 3 years ago
You need a vertical adapter for that, right?
SickModeFilms 3 years ago
Well, one COULD do it with just a male QD nipple, actually.

ok thanks tho, i guess ill just have to buy a new one because im tryin to put in a mag kit.

Don't know of any that are manufactured. You'd have to buy a regular one and modify it.

Where can I buy one of these things? Great video, too.

Hey is that the Palmers stab on the remote where it goes on the tank?
redfirefh 4 years ago
Well, it actually goes between the remote's on/off valve, and the remote's hose. It is the Palmer's In-Line Stabilizer.
JackRockBLC 4 years ago
Instead of Teflon, you can also use Blue Loctite. Thats what I did, and it works great.
Great vid JackRock, would love to see more.
