There's your difference. People will react a lot sooner and quicker upon hearing a Q siren because the Q is a glorified fan that pushes air out ahead if it rather than a sound coming from a static source such as a speaker, and can therefore be heard from a lot farther away. Electronics are good to have as a backup in case the Q takes a crap.

I've passed by this station before on the train. (Amtrak runs right by it) Day or night, "The Big House" rocks! God bless the OFD!

Well we do have 2 departments here. OCFR runs close to 100,000 a year.
