  • what was that noise at 17 seconds?

  • I love everything about this station!

  • I've passed by this station before on the train. (Amtrak runs right by it) Day or night, "The Big House" rocks! God bless the OFD!

  • @MrFWDSeagrave Q or not who cares if it is a fire truck or an ambulance a siren is a siren meant to alert other drivers of an approaching emergency vehicle!

  • @gafire25 Electronic siren: "There is an emergency vehicle approaching."

Q siren: "There is a VERY BIG emergency vehicle approaching."

There's your difference. People will react a lot sooner and quicker upon hearing a Q siren because the Q is a glorified fan that pushes air out ahead if it rather than a sound coming from a static source such as a speaker, and can therefore be heard from a lot farther away. Electronics are good to have as a backup in case the Q takes a crap.

  • @MrFWDSeagrave Miami-Dade County uses them a lot also.

  • Dare I say that Orlando rocks the black top look better than Chicago???

  • reminds me of a chicago fire dept truck

  • Well we do have 2 departments here. OCFR runs close to 100,000 a year.

  • 50,000 a year is not to much, here in DC the DCFD runs around 200,000 a year

  • Over 50,00 a year?!?!?!? But then again....it is always hot or raining outside down there

  • wow, nice vid from your phone...i didnt even realize til i read the info.
