my gosh! Paul is so cute! its so cute how he moves and wiggles and how he moves his head from side to side and buckels his knee's when he sings. i love Paul, truley A very sexy, cute, and handsome Beatle.
@darkknight91 However they did resume recording songs for Beatles For Sale immediately after returning to England in Sep. '64. And the weary- looking cover was shot then as well.
georges solo was awessssommmeee in long tail sally. i watch all these 1965nme concert vids and beatles outclass everyone its not even close. no wonder they were so popular.
oh the beatles were so sweet with each other... many people (obviously not me) think that for the scene in 9:36 john was gay... it was his BFFFFFFFFFF in ALL THE WORLD! THEY OBVIOUSLY LOVE EACH OTHER ALLOT BUT NOT ASS A COUPLE!!
so u idiots who think their gay, shut up please.... thats why they married WOMEN
I do not know why people are surprised by that scene. But it is nice to see John and Paul hugging. It shows how much John loved Paul (as a friends, of course)
@OctopusGarden9 yes.. (as i always say) they were MORE than mates MORE than brothers AND MORE THAN SOUL MATES!! and besides, they were just kids!! my youngest teacher is just 28, AND AT THAT TIME, THE BEATLES WERE ALREADY SPLITIN UP!!...so at THAT time, they were max. 23....and when you are young (like me :P) youre just thinkin of your BFFs, and your band, and maybe your girlfriend/boyfriend.... BUT NEVER EVER OF A GAY RELATIONSHIP! :)
if they had listened top paul and gone on a tour even a small one in late sixties before long and winding theyd have been happy cause the crowds were much more into hearing the music and the sound systems were miles from this but im glad someone has this out there thanks for sharing
i actually screamed at paul's first "scream" in long tall sally :D obviously i would have been one of those girls. i hope to go to one of his concerts in the near future. scream my head off :D
Yes their harmonies were miraculous even this early and with the mikes and amps they were using! Lucky for all of us that they somehow they came together and were always a big part of our lives. Very lucky for us I think and interesting that the newly remastered releases are making them available again to new fans.
Just curious why you love Baby's in Black so much? Personally, I always thought the songs on that Beatles For Sale album kind of dreary and not that great, especially compared to the energy of Hard Day's Night and the sophistication of Help, which bracketed that release.
dreary and not that great = mr.moonlight, words of love and honey don't. replace those 3 tracks with i feel fine, shes a women and leave my kitten alone (which they should have done) and Beatles for Sale would have been a contender.
Notice how tight they are. After listening to other groups at this concert (all of whom I love, too), it is clear how magnificent the Beatles were, head and shoulders above all the rest.
The greatest rock writers, the best threesome singing, the most imaginative, the best live, the tightest numbers - just bloody awesome.
Ringo had some standards to live up to, just being the drummer behind John, Paul and George.
Oops! My mistake! I got a year ahead of myself. My previous answer gave the results for the 1965 poll which were presented at the 1966 concert, not this one. In the 1964 poll, which were presented at this concert in 1965, The Beatles won the same group awards, but Cliff Richard won the 'British Vocal Personality' (5,785 votes) to beat John (4,613). So, I don't know what award John won in th3 1964 poll!!
John won the award for 'British Vocal Personality', polling 5,631 votes to beat Cliff Richard (5,407) and Mick Jagger (3,002). The Beatles won 'World Vocal Group' (9,320) to beat the Rolling Stones (6,002) and 'British Vocal Group' (10,002) to again beat the Rolling Stones (6,295). The Rolling Stones managed to beat the Beatles when 'Satisfaction' won 'Best New Disc Of The Year'(4,821) ahead of 'Help'(4,696)
