the first time i saw walk the line "the best movie ever" i heard this in the credits and fell in love i sung this when i was like seven to all my dads friends at a party they all loved it i am 13 and till this day love this song!
i remember my grandfather was i the hospital the day johnny died. it was so weird, the next day so did my grandfather. so rest in peace johnny and grandpa
I'm not 100% certain on this but I am pretty sure that Carl Perkins wrote this song for Johnny & June. Carl took Luther's place in the Tennesse Two (three) for a short while after Luther Perkins died. Carl & Luther were not related as many believe. But again...I'm not 100% on the author.
LOVE!!!!! I would give anything to have lived back then!

I love how June says "long legged guitar pickin' man" and Johnny says "big mouth woman." It comes out like an loving insult. True but sweetly said.
lol. (:

This comment has received too many negative votes show
This song during the credits was the best part of the film. This movie was a disappointment, and I'm a big Johnny Cash fan.

I believe Marshall Grant, Johnny Cash's bassist (part of the original Tennessee Three) wrote this song. I love Johnny Cash!
