  • Amazing performance of an amazing song! God is good!

  • im meeting him tonight at church

  • WOW!!!

  • this song gives me chills when i hear it garth always did a great job but buddy did an amazing job singing this and it is now fav version

  • I'm impressed with how good his version is. I'm not too keen on all the orchestration but his performance is great. I'm not sure but after a few listens I might even prefer it to Garth's version. They are pretty close and both good.

  • Buddy Jewell is awasome !

  • It's not Garth but he did a great job!

  • I met Mr. Jewell at the 2005 CMA Music Fest and complimented him on his version of the song. His response. "Thank you, Steve, that's one of my favorite songs and I was honored to do it for the special."

  • This is an awesome performance of this song! Buddy Jewell has an amazing voice, and he needs to put out more albums with songs like this on them. He should put this out as a single.

  • Better than Garth

  • Amazing!!!!

  • Ilove my niece Kelly.. she is the light of my life.. Aunt Laura

  • Beautiful job Buddy!

  • Great song

  • i went through hell with my fiance so i left,my only plan was to be single for a long time, but i met the most amazing and beautiful woman!

  • sorry, but I'd have to disagree, I believe the original version, done by Garth Brooks, is better.

  • Just found this again. I think this is probably my favorite performance from Buddy Jewell!

  • Buddy, you give me goosebumps when you sing !! Thank-you sooo much , if you're single, so am I !!!

  • my horse is named after this amazing man

  • cool i <3 horses, ride a speckled arabian named Angel, and im in sunny side pony club!!!!

  • Garth Brooks version I liked better but this isnt bad at all.

  • GREAT SONG

  • love this song i know how it is i can relate to this song

  • Go family!

  • holy shit thats damn good

  • I love Garth Brooks, But i will listen to this on my favs often .Love your voice

  • This song is so beautiful. Buddy does a wonderful job with it....I can feel the genuine emotions. He's a real talent, a wonderful person too as well as talented.

  • I do believe I like this version better than Garth Brooks'. Buddy Jewell's voice seems to fit the song better in the way of he keeps a mostly, not stable and not the same but in between the two, pitch and tone. I like GB's, but he goes across the scales too much for this song now that I've heard this version. They both show raw emotion for the song, but BJ's version seems more appealing to an average person I think.

  • I think he did better than Garth Brooks did on this song.

  • This is a beautiful version of "Garth's song. Buddy is the real deal.

  • i dont listen much country music...but this is one of my fav..

  • love this version!

  • Great song!

    Great voice!

  • that's a great way to put it, "some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers". God hears every prayer. The Good Lord knows whats good for us, even if it hurts A LOT!!!!!!!!

  • if ignorance was money, bill gates would be asking you for a loan

  • Why do people always have to bicker and get abusive about the weirdest stuff?? Can't you just sit back and enjoy this song for its own sake? Doesn't matter who the frog wrote it, just enjoy it, for heavens sake. I dont care if the pope himself wrote it, it just doesn't matter!! It's a grat song, a wonderful voice and that's all thats important!!!!

    End of rant.

Fell free to spam me, if u don't like my POV, I don't give a flying Frog.

  • i love buddy voice!

  • Great song! Buddy and Garth both do a great job with it!

  • this is an amazin song and buddy jewell is an amazing artist i love him he is great.

  • Hey Elizabeth!! I agree with you 100%. lol Buddy is very amazing. I juat love him to pieces. lol

  • Buddy is a fantastic songwriter. He did an excellent job on this song. If you were a Buddy Jewell fan, you would appreciate his song writing and his music.

  • Buddy Jewell did an awesome job when he sang unanswered prays by Garth Brooks

  • Love the song.

  • Correction: Garth Brooks doesn't, and will never measure up to Buddy Jewell.

  • measure up how? Voice, songwritting, performing, selling out shows, selling albums? Im a little confused how people can just make such general statements. Garth wrote this song and he wrote it about a personal experience.

  • It's obvious you're not a Buddy Jewell fan. But, oh well, that is your loss. Buddy is a very talented songwriter and country artist. He has a beautiful angelic voice. He puts his whole heart, body, and soul into his music, and it shows. And, this performance is just one excellent sample out of many.

  • lol. why don't you go to my profile and watch my videos for one. For two I am a fan of BJ. The rest of your outcry is not worthy of explanation. Except for the part where you talk about putting his heart in HIS music. Unswered prayers is NOT his music. Where is your music???????/????

  • That was so beautifully done. Garth Brooks doesn't, and could never up to Buddy Jewell.

  • I do agree that Buddy has a richer voice than Garth does, but Buddy is not the song writer Garth is or used to be. Not even Garth is the songwriter he used to be. Garth could capture a brief moment in time and write a beautiful song about it filled with emotions a description about the moment. I am a lyrically sensitive person and can tell the difference between a general lyric and one that is very personal to the singer.

  • garth didnt write his songs there is only a few singer songwriters

  • lol you certainly aren't even a Garth fan. Ok I will be as nice as I can about correcting you. Garth in fact co wrote most of his songs. The reason he co wrote instead of writting by himself was to make sure song writers always felt welcome to pitch him ideas. So Garth co-wrote this song with Pat Alger and Larry Bastian who wrote the song Rodeo. Garth wrote Not Counting you himself. Your right, there are only a few singer song writers and Garth is one of them.

  • You are so right CountrySingerWannabe. Garth Brooks is one of the best

  • well let's see you become a multi bllionare doing country music.... didn't think so

  • some people pick careers for the love of their job, not for the money

  • amen!! I couldn't have said it better my self. I'd rather do a job that I loved and not get paid very much then do a job I hated and get paid big bucks!!!

  • Far superior to Garth Brooks version.

  • AWESOME!!!! I LOVE Garth...but...Buddy does this soooo much better.

  • Buddy does a great job on this. He is very under rated.

  • Awesome song. Its Garth Brooks's song though, right? IDC, they both sing it good :)

  • i love buddy jewell
