  • hey! can annyone help me? when i play on it there comes a lot of noise with the sound?

  • "You wouldn't want to plug your acoustic guitar into a big stack of amps, would ya?"

    Uhhh... Why the hell not?

  • QUESTION - Do you have to have another amp or can I just use one amp whether I have the pedal on or off?

  • How does this do on an extremely overdriven sound (Playing out of a Peavey 6505 combo) and then switching directly to it without taking the effects off? Also, what is the G. Amp?

  • How does this pedal work on bass?

  • I dislike the fact that he doesn't compare the effect with it's bypass but only with a dirt sound. This way I can't really hear what the effect does.

  • @PhotonVision

true, i'd liked that to, also i'd like to see the comparison to a real acoustic guitar..

  • Buffalo Bill in the flesh!!

  • Zzzz Zzzzzzz Zzzzzzzzzz..... (wake me up when it sounds like an acoustic guitar)

  • its not the hole point of this pedal to prevent the player from having to have 2 guitars live? and he is telling me that OK no guitar but you need another amp to make it sound good xD... Even a clean fender sounds good in a amp for acoustic, i was very exited about this pedal but when i tested i doesn't really help that much, at least not for 100 bucks, it helps but really doesn't wort the price

  • @tsubasa1988 DI. That is all. Just go direct with a DI live. no need for another amp.

  • is this a true bypass pedal ?

    thanks

  • am i the only one whose ever wondered what would happen if you turned on a hardcore metal distortion and an acoustic simulator on at the same time? Ive never had an acoustic simulator so i cant try it but i have used a pitch shifter really fast while using a tuner. (b.t.w. the tuner shorted out)

  • @zippyXL ive done it on my old boss me-50, put on the acoustic voice and then hit distortion...nothing crazy, just a slightly different tone and texture, hard to describe but i liked it for about 20 minutes then i turned it off

  • dont buy this thing man. these things suck

  • Nice shirt. . . . Anyone ever try an acoustic sim pedal with overdrive in front of it? The acoustic modeling is done mostly by an eq curve, and it sounds like an eq curve that would make a real interestiing unique od tone. Maybe put it in the fx loop of a nice tube amp, and put it on the overdrive channel with the gain up high? Ok, now I am going to put myself through the horror of watching the gearwire demo of this pedal. I have been bad, and I need to be punished.

  • Where do you put one of these in a pedal chain?

  • @tenhundredkills First.

  • This is CJay, yay.

  • this is a great pedal, but for me it was easier to get a nice, full jazz tone rather than acoustic. and for me thats a good deal :)

  • What a bed sell - the guy just basically said that you need a seperate accoustic amp for this to be fed to - how many of us have two amps to use at the same time - what rubbish - if this cant sound good through your Marshall, or Blackstar or Fender then you are waisting everybodies time.

  • @slugpumper1 not really, you wouldn't plug an acoustic into a marshall stack would you? just run it to the PA system of whereever you are playing. This is designed for people playing gigs who don't want the hassle of an actual acoustic when playing out. Buy an actual acoustic if you are just farting around your house

  • 0:36 tapping fail??!? LOL

  • @daredeviltj1 that's not a fail it's a technique to change the pitch of a note... i believe that's called HARMONIC TAPPPING...

  • It's days like these you wake up and thank God that you weren't conceived by this man.

  • I haven't seen tapping like that since.. Well. Ever. Ol' Ceejay here is to electric guitar playing as this pedal is to acoustic guitar playing.

It's all fun and games until your daughter brings this guy home.

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH RIDICULOUS

  • Mmmmmmmm, i think it's cheaper to buy an acoustic

  • A little pickin' and grinnin'? Good Christ. I am having Buck Owens acid flashbacks... and this clown looks like Buck Owens' and Roy Clark's homo arse baby. GAAAAAAAH!

  • will this pedal work on an Vox ac30 C2?

  • does it give a 12 string effect, or will I need to add a chorus pedal to get the 12 string sound?

  • Awesome gotta buy now

  • sounds like a clean electric.

  • @timmy47 not even close to an acoustic.

  • @jallstars nope. i think maybe if he used the middle pickup it would help a bit. i find it sounds the closest to an acoustic because its where most people pick. it might sound more like an acoustic with a pickup installed though than a mic'd acoustic. this as is just sounds like an electric. a little different i suppose, but not much at all.

  • Buffalo bill tears up boss acoustic simulators.

  • Its not made for playing trough e-guitar amps noobs!!

Play it trough an Accoustic-Amp or direct via an DI into your mixing console!

  • spanish fly???????

  • He looks like Harvey Keitel when he played the pimp in Taxi Driver! Lol

  • it doesn't sound like a real acoustic at all..this is stupid

  • If anything it'll make your guitar sound like a tele. I hear a lot more twang in there but there's no substitute for a real acoustic.

  • is it a huge deal if i plug into my regular amp? i mean if i just add this onto my pedal board to cancel out the effects before it and lead into an acoustic modulation during the song, would that do any harm to the amp/pedal?

  • i don't have an acoustic amp or mixer... so does that mean i can't use it??? if i only have a wire going to an electric amp???

  • Men who look like old lesbians

  • Does anyone else think you should just get an acoustic guitar?

  • I just want the reverb not the pedal XD

  • when would you need to switch from a raging guitar lead to an acoustic sound..?

  • @b0ssh0gg in this war is ours by Escape The Fate there is a bit after the second chorus where he goes from some amazing intense lead tone straight into some little acoustic bit so thats where u would need it

  • @b0ssh0gg some folk metal bands sometimes have distorted riffs that go into a acoustic riff but i doubt they would bother buying one of these pedals for a live performance. clean channels on amps would do the job live haha

  • does this automatically bypass distortion when this pedals on? i wanna go right from my lead channel on my amp to an acoustic setting so would i just hit this pedal and go to it or would i have to go to my clean channel and then put this on...

  • Get a switching unit that switches the channels and effects. This will allow you to create presets so you don't have to "tap dance" through all your channels and effects. Check out Voodoo Lab's pedal switcher, and control switcher. You can combine both of these with the Commander foot-controller to save presets.

Assuming that you're from the US, this would set you back about $650.

  • ...Actually, disregard everything I said. I thought the pedal was supposed to be used in the effects loop of an amp, not in front.

  • Yes, it has 2 outputs. When the pedal is engaged the signal goes to the "line out" output which you can run to a PA or to an acoustic amplifier. When the pedal is off the signal goes through the other output to your distortion pedal and to your main amp. There's no need for a separate switch. I'm using this setup and it works fine.

  • doesnt CJ look like buffalo bill from Silence of the lambs

  • @90sRockWhore Absolutely! now you have made me too scared to buy this pedal!

  • if you buy this pedal and record with it, there will be subliminal messages that say "it rubs the lotion on its skin!!"

  • Phew! thanks for the heads up.

i think I'll stick with wood and strings.

  • he'd fuck him.

  • i dont know if im using this right. I have one line from my guitar to the input, and one line going from the line out to my amp and Im not getting the sound like in this video. Do i need an extra line for the G. Amp output? If so, where would the G. Amp output lead to? someone please write back!

  • I'm not sure, but I believe if your rig is just guitar/AC-3/Amp, then you connect the AC-3 G. Amp out to the guitar in on your amp. Experiment, the worst thing that can happen is nothing.

  • Do you need a second amp or a pa to use this pedal? Do you have the option of putting the acoustic simulator through your main electric amp? Thanks for the help

  • No, no, yes.

  • What happens if you put an acoustic guitar through it?

  • accoustic^2

  • It opens up a black hole in the universe and we all die

  • @bwmack so never put an acoustic guitar through an acoustic sim pedal, right?

  • he reminds me on my guitar teacher

  • Dude the 70's are over

  • @xLesPaulGibsonx Fuck you!

  • listen to the nameless-slipknot for a prime example

  • that would be perfect for metallica one

  • I want this pedal. seems great for metal.

  • Joe Walsh? hahaha

  • Excuse me , but , does this pedal make you look like a woman ? .......or is it just the guy on the video....?

  • @otentas HAAAAAAAAAA!

  • @otentas

excuse me dont u 31 ppl and the one who wrote this comment have common sense?

cant u see that its old

    by the way he dresses

    his hair

    his glasses???

  • @otentas lolw tf it's true

  • hey everyone

  • i want that pedal it make me fall in love with it sound...i must get it 1..

  • The AC-3 will switch outputs only if the 2 outputs are connected. If they are not, then it will switch between the effect sound and the direct sound on the output that is connected.

  • Hi,

do you know if i can connect the boss ac 3 to an ampl with no clean canal(vox valvetronix)??

    thank you

  • he didnt strum it? so he did nothing...

  • i need this for dairy of a madman by ozzy

  • id love to hear a review of this through a humbucker equipped guitar...

  • i have one of these pedals my self and with humbuckers the sound becomes very distorted no matter how much you alter the level/top/body controls you have to play very lightly, its not really a pedal you want to use on a guitar with active pickups...

  • can this go into an effects loop? Because it's not gain???

  • do i have to use 2 amps or can i just use my electric guitar amp?

  • damn, love that guys "raging lead tone"

  • lol that would sound cool with some distortion on it

  • i have a question for anyone whos nice enough to answer... im not sure where to put my ac-3 on my pedalboard to get the best sound. i have a digital delay pedal, a boss noise suppressor, a boss chorus, a boss ds 1 distortion, a dunlop crybaby, and a boss tuner stompbox, and of course, the ac3. anyone have any suggestions?

  • To get the best out of an acoustic simulator (and forgive me here if I presume wrongly that you arent wanting to go all experimental) you want nothing but the pure clean signal going into it. To this end, place it at the start of your signal path or, if you place your tuner at the beginning like some do, after the tuner. Obviously you can put it anywhere to be experimental, but for the purest sound and for things like chorus and delay to work on it, the start of the signal path is the best. Dan

  • Yeah hes right. Just use both outputs that way the ns-2 doesn't kill the acoustic tone.

  • put the AC-3 just after noise suppressor, put that just after tuner, then wah, then ds1, then chorus and finally the delay, but u need 2 amps for this pedal as shown in the video

  • put it after the ds-1 which should be the 2nd in line after the tuner

  • hey cj! youre a weird guy! :)

  • LMAO - REALLY

  • What if you don't want to play through an acoustic amp?

Just want to play through my Marshall.

  • to me it sounds more like a very clean sound...

  • I played thru one @ GC. Putting aside the simulation of an acoustic guitar, It just had a nice mellow tone to it. You don't really get a good idea of what it sounds like thru your computer speakers. You have to try it yourself.

  • is it overriding the distorion?

  • No, he explains it.. It switches outputs when engaged, so it's more like BYPASSING than overriding.

  • Hey C.J. lolz

  • There's nothing like actually playing an acoustic. You really can't get the acoustic sound just through a pedal.

  • its as close as u can get w/o actually using one

  • If you want an acoustic sound then by an acoustic guitar!! It's the only way to get the authentic acoustic guitar sound. This pedal is a gimmick!

  • wat if u are playing a song with distortion and acoustic, like all these things i hate dumbass

  • connect the out for electric to an amp through a distortion pedal (or amp built in distortion, w/e you want)

And the acoustic out, direct to the acoustic amp.

About the pedal, it does get the sound way cleaner, not like an acoustic, but that's a perfect choice in my opinion for gigs.

  • Then buy a proper electric guitar. Maybe you can't afford one. Fuckwit!!!

  • A pedal like this is designed for those who primarily play electric but need a slightly more acoustic sound mid song. On the other hand, an acoustic guitar, no matter what pedal you use, can't really sound like an electric guitar.

  • This is a great pedal for songs like Stairway to Heaven

  • ... Breaking the tention a little bit, I have to say this sounds fantastic :-)

  • had this pedal....waste of money...seriously it isn't a very good acoustic tone. Its very fake sounding

  • great pedal just got one i love it ,,,,,f everyone else

  • Get a Boss CS-3 and place it as the pedal just before the AC-3. Set the tone and levels low and set the AC-3 with any settings you like, and the compressor cuts out all that high end noise and makes it sound more like an acoustic guitar rather then an electric on clean with a bit of fuzz.

  • what if you use this pedal an a crappy sounding acoutic guitar to make it sound a little better? has anybody tried this?

  • Oh maaaan.. How much did BOSS payed to you for this crap? This pedal sounds like shit. Cuz it has so much unwanted noise coming out. Of cause you have cut it for the commercial.

  • Golly G mister that sure was swell

-I fucking hate you old man

  • hey i got a question, I have the same pedal (AC-3) and im plugging it with my DS-1 distortion pedal. How come ur guitar sounds like an acoustic when u have the distortion pedal still on? Mine sounds horrible when they are both on.

    Please reply

    Thank you and nice video

  • holy shit lol it sounds awesomee~

  • this guy reminds me of the pedophiliac johnny demacro

  • You are a fucking asshole!! What a fucking stupid thing to say. Just because you were fucking molested by your dad and beat up by the neighborhood kids doesn't mean everyone shares your experience. Just fucking die douche!!

  • calm down?

  • Are you really that fucking dumb?? Did you even read what that faggot said? That was completely uncalled for to call someone a Pedophile. How about YOU go fuck yourself while you are at it as well! Fucking douche.

  • Shut up pedo

  • Ohhh. I must have touched on a nerve. Were you molested as a kid? Are you still having your 'lil fella' touched by your daddy?? Don't take your 'shortcomings' out on me fairy!! Aaahahaha OwNeD!!!

  • Whats with you and molesting everythings?

  • And you are a punk bitch pussy who can ONLY talk smack on the Internet because you would get that jaw cracked in a heartbeat talking shit to someone's face! Plus, you are just plain fucking stupid! Don't you have a small child to molest somewhere...fucking Pedophile!!

  • Thank's for defending CJ. He really appriciates it...he told me.

seriously, calm down. Even if his that guy calling him a pedophile was out of line, you could have given him a thumbs down or just been like "douche..." and ended it there. It is not the end of the world.

  • To call ANYONE a pedophile only confirms two things. That this DOUCHE was molested OR this douche MOLESTED others. I would say that it is BOTH. But the main thing that confirms that this WORLD is a fucking piece of shit is when other DEFEND guys like this?? And what does a THUMBS down do?? Practically nothing. This punk bitch needed to be put in his place and I did it.

  • Your a pedophile, I've never been molested and I'm not a pedophile, to say that callin some one a bitch makes me a bitch is something only a bitch would say, bitch.

  • Think back long ago........relax and attempt to remember when your father used to 'take baths with you'...'dress you'. Now think long and hard when your mother used to 'play doctor' and say that "hernia's are the number 1 cause of death so that is why I have to check you every day...with my mouth" Aahahahaha. Hell, your dumb ass doesn't need to think back that hard...that shit is still happening today!!! People think it's FINE & DANDY to call people a Pedophile...let's REALLY liven it up then!

  • Wow, you are such a fucking dum ass it's just hilarious, from now on I'm just gona remark with bitch and not waste time on you.

    Bitch.

  • Because you have NOTHING else to say....Get the cock out of your mouth! Aahahahahaha

    BITCH!!!

  • Bitch

  • And you are a.......

  • Wow your still at it, sorry I just came back from living life, apparently your still rapped up in your world protected behind your computer.

I love your comments page though, every one fuxing hates you. You have all the wit of a retarded 5 year old Please cry your self to sleep and kill your self.

  • Bitch

  • And your daddy is a.......

  • Bitch

  • And your mother is a......

  • Bitch

  • And your friend is a......

  • The voice is so overdubbed it makes me want to puke =)

  • People have said it's a useless pedal but that's not the case, sometime's when playing live you just dont have the time to switch to an Acoustic guitar.

  • I heard he replaced the audio with an actual acoustic guitar

  • Yah, and we heard your Mom replaced your brain with pot roast.

  • And your mouth was replaced with my dick.

  • haha, good1

  • FAUX

  • Yeah, you're right, having an acoustic and an electric guitar is such a bitch, I may as well buy this ...

    /sarcasm

  • /douche*

  • From the video's audio, that sounds nothing like acoustic guitar. It only sounds like clean electric. Anybody ever get good results from this?

  • Not great, but an improvement on the AC-2

  • AC3 or AC2? i have a low budget so i can barely afford a 170$ acoustic electric. and i cant afford an acousitc amp. sooo suggestions. i got a epi lp standard with line 6 spyder3

  • to be totally honest, ive been scoping out different acoustic pedals, and behringers version of this sounds alot better...check it out yourself...

those are only 30 bucks, tho i dont know how reliable they are...

  • If you're running an epi through a line 6, you're obviously not too concerned with your tone, so anything you buy should be ok.

  • still sounds like an clean electric guitar waste of money

  • is it good using this with a micro cube?

  • nah trust me digital multi effect amps and pedals dont mix

  • oic thx

  • or you can buy a good acoustic guitar and add to your guitar collection.

  • I tried out one of these with the G Amp output through an electric guitar amp and wasn't impressed. I take it the trick is you need an acoustic amp?

  • Sounds like a clean electric tone. Acoustic simulators are all wastes of money.
