  • this is a Steve Roberts tongue drum. i have a drum from steve, only he can make them sound this nice. he has a website that's easy to find. I think you should give steve some credit on your videos.

  • Great instrument, but I wish there were more videos of skilled players playing them. No offense, i'm sure you had a great time, but it isn't really a feat of musicality.

  • They're pretty easy to make, as long as you know how to laminate and polish wood and stuff like that.

  • pretty skillful to keep that goin and not lose track - just a general question, to record while playing the drum and still get good sound, do you just use a normal camcorder, or webcam? I've given it a shot with my crappy microphone and also a digital camera, just doesn't capture the sound very well. any tips?

  • Thanks! It took a couple takes. I'm using a digital camera(Nikon:cool pix) Probably not the best, but it'll do.

  • The microphones built into cheapish digital cameras can be quite good. Let's face it - we're not here for audio quality but to appreciate each other's skills. Keep up the good work, xylo.
