It looks like the photo you were using was already shot using HDR. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range....you actually lessened the dynamic range in your finished product.

it looked better when you didnt touch it... you blew the sky out... "it's basically a fake, uhhh, a fake HDR, uhh effect" well how about the real one?? haha CS4 is capable of doing REAL HDR so do that instead of the fake, ugly lookng HDR

dude..i dont want to disappoint you..but that pic already were on HDR, you just forced it even more and decreased the DPI, quality and maybe..i dunno... but f#cked with the 16bits i suppose...but still a good tuto, but this tutorial dont does so good on a not hdr image
