If I had a time machine I would be on the couch at grandma and grandpa's house watching the Lakers at the forum on ON tv. Chick was pushing your favorite carlo rossi red wine and words eyeing the game for all those on 57 klac. Life is a little less sweet without Chicks voice coming out of the box.
Hemisfair Arena.....Tough place to play for the lakers......Yeah this year had its ups and downs...... olando woolridge disappeared in the playoffs....tough nba finals to watch as a laker fan......
It's in the refrigerator: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the Jell-O's jigglin'! (Chick Hearn)These two define the History of the Los Angeles Lakers
what happened to these interviews chick is one of the greatest and the guy he is interviewing is not so bad. 2 of G.O.A T!!!!! R.I.P CHIKIE WE MISS U!!!!! GOING FOR 16 FELLES!!!!!!
A color commentator, sometimes known as a color analyst, is a member of the broadcasting team for a sporting event who assists the play-by-play announcer by filling in any time when play is not in progress. The term is of North American origin. The color commentator provides expert analysis and background information, such as statistics, strategy and injury reports on the teams and athletes, and occasionally light humor.
when I was a kid, on my way to the forum, I was listening to Chick doing the pregame. Some guy called in and suggested "and the jello's jigglin" - Chick loved it and said it from that day forward. :D
i think you can say magic-man is probably the only man in basketball that could do anything on the court. except dunking, in the end. only 29! damn, those were the days. chick r.i.p.
He did have the injury early in his career, I think that limited him but I remember him dunking in the '92 olympics. I honestly think he didn't have a need to dunk in the lakers system.
what the hell was happening in the back?
