How to crack a Macadamia nut

i love macadamia nuts but sadly they are so espensive, i cant eat 500g (and more) every day like i would if they were cheaper lol

Yes that works too and usually a sign of people using this method is bruised fingers where the hammer has just missed the mark!

I hold them on the ground between two fingers and hit it with a hammer on the white spot, getting harder and harder. when it cracks i move it around and get the crack around the whole nut and pull it out. usually it comes out in one piece.

The door thing may work, just remember though that macadamias are much harder to cracker than walnuts and there's the risk of forcing the door off its hinges. Let me know the results if you ever try it!

What my mom does for hardnuts like walnuts is that she puts it near the door hinges and shuts the door half.....voila u have a crushed walnut. Macadamias are not available in my country. we bring it when we visit abroad. But the door thing may work for macadamias too.

on wikipedia it says that it´s the hardest to crack nut of all nuts (or however you say it in englsih), how can you do it with this little cracker?
