  • i´ve got the heli, but where can i buy the transmitter "cheap" ??

  • i've got the heli, but where can i buy the transmitter "cheap" ?

  • How long does the charge take ?

  • @oOFunCrasherOo About 20-minutes

  • where can i buy one online?? I am from Belgium

  • @nicolaskomen I'm sorry but this has been discontinued.

  • theyre so awkward. its awesome :D

  • that older guy seems like he really wants to fly it

  • the tail beam looks like a straw, not very durable looking

  • By does it still go as fast and drift left to right not just rotate?

  • What is the difference between this heli and the regular yellow blade mcx?

  • @bakonlicious They tweaked some of the electronics on this version to improve the flight characteristics and, of course, the different canopies.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom did they discontinue them? why?

  • @zotter7 No i bought one a few months ago there awesome

  • I live in Canada and got it for $99

  • No offense but Mark should calm down a little. He seems completely nervous and more than a little car salesmanish (for lack of a real word) throughout all these videos. :) Relax man. This stuff sells itself. Just my 2 pennies of course. Then again it could just be that i am jaded.

    Absolutely Jim! ;)

  • coooooooool

  • Ok well, I've got a question, I'm looking for a micro heli, and the two main ones I'm looking at are the mSR and this one, I think I like the single rotor over the co-axial because I do have a small bit of flying experience, and I like the offering of the mSR's aglity and speed, but I'm not moving on to any collective pitch so its not necessary to buy the mSR. The difference in price is not a factor, but nothing over 180$.

  • If you don't have any previous heli experience I would not recommend the mSR. I can fly the mCX very well but for me the mSR is extremely difficult, and I have previous experience with the entire CX and mCX line.

  • Well, thanks for getting back to me! On topic; I have a little experience with a cheapy 3 channel coaxial, and I got pretty good with it, and I feel that I could learn 4 channel skills on the mSR, but I do wonder how stable is the mSR on the slowest settings. I have heard that the mSR has coaxial-like stability, is this true?

  • I don't know that I agree with that totally. While stable it's also a hotrod too. I would still recommend the mCX as a first step.

  • Thanks for your concern, but I'm still convinced on the mSR. I will have some local experience and my decision accordingly. Thanks for your help. Your points do sway me towards the mCX, but I do want somewhat of a hotrod for the fun factor.

  • wot is mark looking at in the beginning?

  • @tomtom4867 the s300 he is flying.

  • @tomtom4867 the heli that came in at :24.

  • @tomtom4867 The other model heli he is flying.

  • this is truly a great rc heli.

  • This heli is brilliant the controller looks a bit cheap but it works GREAT I love flying it around my living room it can be flown in small spaces I also bought an extra battery. I think I want to change the white rotors :P like the guy in the vid. This was worth all $147.88

  • LOL Mark Padilla JUST SOLD IT. I got one of these things and it kicks ass.

  • @zerggon it definately does. i am just getting started with rc flying and decided a blade mcx s300 is one of the best starter helis. i loved how manuverable it is btw i changed the blades :P

  • can you help me out, i will turn it on then set it down for the gyro to sync but when it dose this buzzing sound comes on that wont stop, dose anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?

  • @unikroeze554 oh nvm the some plastic got under one of the gears, hahaha thats a relief because i was having so much fun with it that it would be a total bummer to have broken it the first day and have to wait for replacement parts

  • i bought its for 100$ , it works like crap and they wont give me my money back

  • or u can just buy a s300 canopy and tale boom and put them on ur mCX

  • I am buying one of these tomorrow but is there a reason why the original mCX is $119.99 and the newer mCX S300 is only $99.99?

  • I just got this today for Christmas, and I absolutely think this is the best Blade Mcx so far. Great jib, guys!

  • Is it possible to buy spare parts if anything breaks?

  • Yes, that's one of the great things about going with a hobby grade product like the mCX. If parts break they are replaceable.

  • I just picked one of these up a couple of hours ago at my local hobby shop and I must say, they're addictive!

  • What is the batteries flight/loading time?

  • Flight-time is about 8-12 minutes, charge time is about 20-25.

  • Hey Horizon,

I am buying this helicopter RTF. Do you recommend purchasing any accessories along with it? Do people usually fly the helicopter for 8 minutes, switch the battery, and keep flying?

  • The main accessories I'd recommend would be extra batteries. Other accessories would include a spare main shaft and head unit (EFLH2212), and a spare flybar (EFLH2219).

  • I'm very interested in the mCX line... but my local hobbytown USA (KC,MO) didnt' have the S300... he said they haven't been selling as well and they are a bit more "twitchy" during flight than the original mCX. He said those reasons are why the mCX S300 is $99 and the orig is $129. What are you're thoughts on this? I actually like the desight of the S300 better... it's just my opinion...thanks for a response :)

  • I haven't noticed a difference in the flight characteristics between the S300 and the standard mCX myself.

  • Hi, would i be able to buy the s300 canopy and put that on my Eflite mSR, will that fit ok

  • Sorry but no. the way they mount is different, plus remember the mSR has a tail rotor where the mCX does not.

  • I have a Futaba radio. I wanted to get the ParkZone ME-109 PNP so that I could use the Futaba radio, however, I'm thinking about getting a Spektrum DX5E radio that I can use with all the BNF planes from Parkzone. What would you recommend doing? P.S. I don't have enough money for a DX6i or something higher than the DX5E.

  • The thing with the DX5e is that you don't have any model memory, so each time you want to change models you'll have to change trims and such. Will the DX5e fly these planes and such, absolutely. You're just limited to a single model memory.

  • I understand that, but I only want it for a fun park flier time. Not really for the Nitro planes. That's why I have a 6EXA.

  • Don't take this as a bash on your radio but if you are interested in all the BNF models have you considered selling your 6EXA and replacing it with a DX6i?

  • Well, I guess that might work, however, I do like the 6EXA... I'll have to think about it for a while.

  • Yeah, I'm just looking at it from the standpoint of if you're already interested in BNF then a Spektrum Radio makes sense from that standpoint. You can get a DX6i- Transmitter only for only $149.99, or with an AR6200 receiver for $199.99. BNF just makes a Spektrum Radio a better value by and large IMHO.

  • I think DX6i is nice, but I still need my 6EXA for my Nitro Tiger 60. It has all the settings programmed in. I think I'll go for the DX5E.

  • do i need anything to bind this to a dx6i ?

  • Nope, just the heli and the radio

  • but has like 4 battery sections t put them Also is thare a case i could use thats not the box?

  • I want one.

  • does this heli com with a extra white upper and lower set of blades?

  • Yes, both upper and lower white blades are included

  • does the blade come with both lower and upper extra set of white blades/

  • its on sexy chopper, thats for sure.

  • Its all true!!! After toying with cheaper presumed easily flown indoor beginner rc helicopters (like the syma fairy and the micromosquito- which were not that easy to fly and really only went round and round), i tried the helimax micro cx (which was not easy to fly at all, considering my true neophyte status. finally, i went to hobbytown in las vegas and picked up this unit. i am finally able to fly an rc helicoptor. sure, i have a long way to go, but i am finally learning how to fly!

  • Great to hear you're finding success with the mCX S300.

  • does it come with more than 1 battery

  • It comes with just 1 battery

  • Wow, E-flite is really sweet... just got this heli as my first and I'm already making a stunt base. 5 stars

  • Maybe clear upper blades even better

E-Flite should launch a 'charger battery eliminator' for existing customers

I modded the stock charger - soldered a lead to the battery terminals - to power it from a 7.4V lipo

  • my mcx wants to go in circles or toilet bowls what is wrong?

  • Check the head unit to make sure it's true and not out-of round. You may also want to check the linkages to make sure they're not bent or damaged.

  • top shaft bush could be worn as this part is not a bearing.

  • Check also your tail

  • The charger is awesome by the way. i have 6 of those batteries at the momenet between my vapor, cessna and MCX. I go through MANY batteries!

  • So it's the same heli with a different body and a fake tail rotor. No real reason to buy it if you already have the MCX. Looks cool but not worth it for MCX owners. Unfortunately unless it replaces the old i don't think it will do too well in sales.

  • LOL!!! look at mark right when the vid starts hes like so distracted

  • Actually he's flying the other heli waiting to fly into the shot

  • The dude on the right seemed so out of his element when it comes to talking in front of a camera. LOL

  • these mcx heli's are awsome i hope they keep coming out with new designs

  • E-lite should make a 3D heli this size. Tat would be awesome.

  • By chance will the old mcx come down in price since there is a new one out

  • I would doubt you'll see a price drop on the original mCX anytime soon.

  • that charger looks awesome! man the stock charger that i had for the mcx keeps breaking, and i really want a new one. well that new one looks so cool. great video!

  • Never did by the mcx but have the cx2 and loads of over small and 3D heli's and i'm really thinking of buying this little bad boy,so is it the same price as the mcx? oh and great video boys and i have to say i love all the horizonhobby r/c heli's and planes and 5 stars for the vid and heli lol.

  • The S300 version is $10 more than the standard mCX.

What, no love for the HorizonHobby RC Cars, Trucks and Boat videos? ;) LOL

  • LOL and i said i love all the horizone r/c heli's and planes and five stars for the heli vid,as far as the cars, trucks and boats i would LOVE to get some of them too but don't think my mrs would let me ha ha.

  • How mucch for the charger??

  • Looks like Early to Mid-May on this one, price looks to be $39.99

  • is it as stable as the old one???

  • Yes it is

  • when will it be in stores

  • Late May or Early June is what it looks like. You can pre-order one on the Horizon Hobby Website.

  • Could i buy a canopy for my original mcx or not?????

  • Yes. Listen to our latest podcast, the R/Cast for April 2nd and Mark talks about this. The link is above in the "More Info" section.

  • just throwin this out there, but why not have a charger that uses a standard 6cell sub/c pack?

personally i rewired my mcx batt charger to do this with some wire deans connectors and a voltage regulator.

soo much easier and cost effective than buying aa batts

  • :-O does it come with that charger?

  • No, that is sold separately.

  • is it available yet?

  • Late May or Early June is what it looks like. You can pre-order one on the Horizon Hobby Website.

  • I already have the MCX, bought all the white and glow parts for it already, I can definitely use that charger, I have batteries for my vapor, mcx and soon the sukoi :-)

  • how much? looks good nice little heli.

  • $139.99 for the RTF, $109.99 for the BNF on the Horizon Hobby Website. The links are in the "More Info" section on the right

  • thanks very muchly ; )

  • i like the battery charger!!! Might have to add the new mcx to the hanger as well :)
