No offense but Mark should calm down a little. He seems completely nervous and more than a little car salesmanish (for lack of a real word) throughout all these videos. :) Relax man. This stuff sells itself. Just my 2 pennies of course. Then again it could just be that i am jaded.
Ok well, I've got a question, I'm looking for a micro heli, and the two main ones I'm looking at are the mSR and this one, I think I like the single rotor over the co-axial because I do have a small bit of flying experience, and I like the offering of the mSR's aglity and speed, but I'm not moving on to any collective pitch so its not necessary to buy the mSR. The difference in price is not a factor, but nothing over 180$.
If you don't have any previous heli experience I would not recommend the mSR. I can fly the mCX very well but for me the mSR is extremely difficult, and I have previous experience with the entire CX and mCX line.
Well, thanks for getting back to me! On topic; I have a little experience with a cheapy 3 channel coaxial, and I got pretty good with it, and I feel that I could learn 4 channel skills on the mSR, but I do wonder how stable is the mSR on the slowest settings. I have heard that the mSR has coaxial-like stability, is this true?
Thanks for your concern, but I'm still convinced on the mSR. I will have some local experience and my decision accordingly. Thanks for your help. Your points do sway me towards the mCX, but I do want somewhat of a hotrod for the fun factor.
This heli is brilliant the controller looks a bit cheap but it works GREAT I love flying it around my living room it can be flown in small spaces I also bought an extra battery. I think I want to change the white rotors :P like the guy in the vid. This was worth all $147.88
@zerggon it definately does. i am just getting started with rc flying and decided a blade mcx s300 is one of the best starter helis. i loved how manuverable it is btw i changed the blades :P
can you help me out, i will turn it on then set it down for the gyro to sync but when it dose this buzzing sound comes on that wont stop, dose anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?
@unikroeze554 oh nvm the some plastic got under one of the gears, hahaha thats a relief because i was having so much fun with it that it would be a total bummer to have broken it the first day and have to wait for replacement parts
I am buying this helicopter RTF. Do you recommend purchasing any accessories along with it? Do people usually fly the helicopter for 8 minutes, switch the battery, and keep flying?
The main accessories I'd recommend would be extra batteries. Other accessories would include a spare main shaft and head unit (EFLH2212), and a spare flybar (EFLH2219).
I'm very interested in the mCX line... but my local hobbytown USA (KC,MO) didnt' have the S300... he said they haven't been selling as well and they are a bit more "twitchy" during flight than the original mCX. He said those reasons are why the mCX S300 is $99 and the orig is $129. What are you're thoughts on this? I actually like the desight of the S300 better... it's just my opinion...thanks for a response :)
I have a Futaba radio. I wanted to get the ParkZone ME-109 PNP so that I could use the Futaba radio, however, I'm thinking about getting a Spektrum DX5E radio that I can use with all the BNF planes from Parkzone. What would you recommend doing? P.S. I don't have enough money for a DX6i or something higher than the DX5E.
The thing with the DX5e is that you don't have any model memory, so each time you want to change models you'll have to change trims and such. Will the DX5e fly these planes and such, absolutely. You're just limited to a single model memory.
Don't take this as a bash on your radio but if you are interested in all the BNF models have you considered selling your 6EXA and replacing it with a DX6i?
Yeah, I'm just looking at it from the standpoint of if you're already interested in BNF then a Spektrum Radio makes sense from that standpoint. You can get a DX6i- Transmitter only for only $149.99, or with an AR6200 receiver for $199.99. BNF just makes a Spektrum Radio a better value by and large IMHO.
Its all true!!! After toying with cheaper presumed easily flown indoor beginner rc helicopters (like the syma fairy and the micromosquito- which were not that easy to fly and really only went round and round), i tried the helimax micro cx (which was not easy to fly at all, considering my true neophyte status. finally, i went to hobbytown in las vegas and picked up this unit. i am finally able to fly an rc helicoptor. sure, i have a long way to go, but i am finally learning how to fly!
So it's the same heli with a different body and a fake tail rotor. No real reason to buy it if you already have the MCX. Looks cool but not worth it for MCX owners. Unfortunately unless it replaces the old i don't think it will do too well in sales.
that charger looks awesome! man the stock charger that i had for the mcx keeps breaking, and i really want a new one. well that new one looks so cool. great video!
Never did by the mcx but have the cx2 and loads of over small and 3D heli's and i'm really thinking of buying this little bad boy,so is it the same price as the mcx? oh and great video boys and i have to say i love all the horizonhobby r/c heli's and planes and 5 stars for the vid and heli lol.
LOL and i said i love all the horizone r/c heli's and planes and five stars for the heli vid,as far as the cars, trucks and boats i would LOVE to get some of them too but don't think my mrs would let me ha ha.
I already have the MCX, bought all the white and glow parts for it already, I can definitely use that charger, I have batteries for my vapor, mcx and soon the sukoi :-)

Yes, that's one of the great things about going with a hobby grade product like the mCX. If parts break they are replaceable.

Check the head unit to make sure it's true and not out-of round. You may also want to check the linkages to make sure they're not bent or damaged.
