who passed on July 4,2007 at 90, was among the handful of Jazz Violin masters who dated from when the style was invented. Thanks for posting this -little footage seems to exist of Frigo and it is always delightful to see a players skill served up with their sense of humor.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks to Pat Philips for thinking to include Frigo in her Boston Spirit of Django concert in 2004. I did a long interview with him that afternoon and his memory was as lucid as his violin playing.
