    P wave moves faster than the speed of sound.

    Water! Yeah I get the idea! If youre on a boat you move side to side forwards and backwards basically rolling round in sickening green face motion if that makes any sense.

  • @EmpireLS56KW Not exactly; S-waves are body waves (like P-waves) which means that they travel through material rather than being restricted to the upper surface like Surface Waves. Two very different properties and physics.

    shear waves deal with surface waves :S
