I remember this case from when I lived in sullivan county. On a side note the detective appears to have abused his body with pals.

Couldn't you have asked the nearest branches of that bank to see if they could find a check in the amount of $267 that might have been cashed around that time? Or if someone withdrew that amount from their account? That would be easy with a computerized accounting system.
