I've had my ps3 for a year now and never had a game that got bad framerate.. The only game on xbox or ps3 that there was a noticeable framerate problem was The Last Remnant on Xbox.. Aside from the controllers and the dashboard/home menu I barely notice or care which system I'm playing on. People just need to grow up and realize theirs no such thing as a 'superior system' all that exists are gamers and douche bags with a over zealous gaming preference lol

@jimbo911fly Well that is halfway true. It used to have bad frame rate drops in games, when it was first released. But newer games don't have any issues. I guess developers have worked out a way to prevent them.

for some reason i swear i bought this before black ops obviously and my first playthrough had little framrate issues to none, after buying black ops and playing it a lot i replayed bioshock and the framerate was noticeably worse it got to the point where my ps3 froze and had to turn it off, i dont know if it was black ops, cause all my games seemed more laggy after buying it, effed up my ps3 which i doubt or wtf is up?

Ok. I saw a ps3 bioshock video. It looked completely different than 360s versions but in this video its not. Both of them look the same. Is there another type of ps3 bioshock?

@lonewolf0228 I think it may have something to do with how you set your resolution on PS3 and 360. I noticed on a lot of games for both consoles that its best to play them in 720p vs 1080p. Because what the consoles do is upscale the games resolution and sometimes it doesn't look pretty. lol Take my word for it.

ok after owning both versions and playing through both id say the xbox version is way better the game runs at a higher resolution and has a steady framerate where as the ps3 version has AL0T of framerate issues and the ps3 version does not have better textures that is complete bullshit they are actually worse

the ps3 is just better, there's no argument for the xbox, the ps3 is made with higher graphics, and it runs on blu-ray. it's not like some magic box is stored at the back of an xbox to make it better, ps3 is better

personally I prefer when you have two pics of the same thing rather then split screen, with two pics of the same you can spot the difference but with this you can't tell if it's the console or the makers meant to change the way it looked either side. Hope this comment helped!

you will see that the ps3 is sharper if you look at the smallprint in the blue fleet hall billboard thing. you will see the writing is more clear on the ps3

@farcry75 No the PS3 is foggier. The reviews for the PS3 even showed that the PS3 had graphical glitches which is why it got a 9 and the 360 version got a 10.

on most multiplats i think xbox has the slight edge with anti aliasing and shader, but exclusives i think the ps3 has better because its cpu cores help the graphics card which is slightly less powerful then the 360's, but can surpass it due to the fact it has a much faster processor helping it, btw ps3 FTW guys XD

I think the Playstation 3 version looks better. The textures seemed to be improved a bit, and the lightning is more realistic. But then again, they did develop it more than a year after the Xbox 360 version. :P

@popops3 it is contrast, one looks crispier and one looks more like the natural grays you see, the 360 haves the images like the samsung tv, very crispy but unnatural colors, I compared tv's literally had 2 tv's in front of me one samsung and one sony, sooner or later your eyes hurt with one, not saying which one cause i hate critizicing,

I am very im imressed porting a game from 360 to ps3 is very, very hard and the ps3 version has smoother textures.

High definition is dying, get over it. Xbox360 in all reality has become old news, the only reason it is so popular is for the first person shooters. Don't deny it, you know it's true. Halo for example, graphics in that game not so exciting the game became over rated over a period of time. Blu-ray is going to become the dominating species of gaming and watching movies. Just watch the times go by, the way of 360 will die and eventually have to update itself to current standards.

THANKYOU! This is a perfect comment that outlines the consoles PROS. People should just GROW UP and appreciate that their are multiple consoles that play multi releases and have console specific. In the end it comes down to whether people like Gears of War, Halo OR Uncharted, MGS. @robskyy That's for movies, Blu-ray has 25 gb - 50 gb space while the PS3's video card is a bit lower than the Xbox 360's, and that is the number one reason why the Xbox 360 has RROD it's because of it's massive video card.

360 hardware was updated on 6/8/08. The components are smaller and give off less heat. 360 doesn't get RROD anymore (or at least it's very freaking rare)

@robskyy that is true 360 has a "slightly" better graphics chip then ps3 BUT the ps3 has an 8 core processor that can help the gpu out if programed where as the 360 only has 3 cores which pretty much are used up, ps3 will have better graphics then the 360 in the near future because of that fact of the much better processor

They look the same and as well they should the creators has more than enough time to make the port good. But they decided to make it more darker. And this is Youtube the quality they put here are always shit and fanboys ensuring one console would look bad so that theres can look better. And as for MW2 I'm sorry but they look exactly the same in graphics, texture and sharpness. And yes I own MW2 on both systems.

The lighting is so much more win in the Xbox 360 version. When I light beam hits the surface, it glows much more radiently. Also, 0:36 - the sign that says "Bella Mia's" doesn't want to glow on the PS3.

Now, the picture is also somewhat sharper on the Xbox version. Most fanboys just say "they smoothed the sharp edges out for the PS3", no, this is not the case. And if you wanted to do that, you could just turn down the sharpness from your TV settings.

Now I don't know about the framerates.

2. Don't judge out of a youtube video, even though you watch in HD. The quality is not even close of the real quality you get on an HD screen.

I've seen this in Gamevideos on the full resolution, it might be something to do with capturing but who knows? Modern Warfare 2 too is sharper on the Box.

And what I meant with the lighting, see the very beginning of the video when the sub is coming from behind the rocks, look at the beam of light that hits the rocks. That's what I meant.
