@Vikingsatan hahaha try the Training of Al Qaeda, running whole day in the Scorching heat of the Deserts, eating what you can salvage,3 days no sleep, praying 5 times a day (punishment will be given if you don't).
wow BUD/S classes are getting bigger and bigger....I remember I watched a documentary a long time ago where only about 20 men out of 80-100 secured Hell Week
Ex Navy here - BUD/s Class 276. I didn't finish BUD/s. I got injured and was medically dropped from training. Even if you don't quit on your own will, pray to God that you don't get hurt. Many people get hurt at BUD/s, from minor to major injuries. It's just the name of the game. SEALs are elite. They are the best of the best. This training is no joke. The keyboard warriors can talk all they want, but it's easier said than done. I commend anyone who at least tries to go through with this. Hooyah
@TheHammersFall I respect you for going to BUD/S, anyone who is brave enough to actually go and give it a shot has a lot of balls, even if they don't finish. The SEAL Teams are not for everyone, statistically 70-80% are destined to fail in each class. I plan on going to BUD/S in 3 years when I finish college, I train hard for it every day and I have never wanted anything more badly in my entire life, I am determined to stick it out throughout training, even though I know the odds are against me.
@TheHammersFall (see previous comment) I can't guarantee I'll complete training, but I plan on going in and giving it my absolute best during every single evolution, and I will keep my spirits up and try to enjoy myself and encourage my team mates. I can only hope that I don't get injured. Hooyah
I exercise my mental toughness by taking my shirt and shoes off and having only a pair of athletic shorts, then lay down and roll around in snow for an hour. :)
Anyone who says previous hell weeks used to be harder is just full of crap. How can they know what the conditions were that week? Add who was there? The biggest factor of change has been the months of selection before hell week starts. BUD/S phase one is no longer the "first phase". DEP is different and harder. Boot camp is different and harder. Pre-buds exists and is harder. The fact is, anyone who competes HELL week is a stud whenever they do it. No one who says otherwise knows shit.
Cool video... So, how many of you know that the Despotic US Federal Corp (Title 28 SEC 3002) has through secret contract (SSI, Bank sig cards, HCR, Drivers lic) altered the jurisdiction/status of your mothers, your brothers and your fellow countrymen into a "congressional territory" (Hooven & Allison Co. v. Evatt) SUBJECTS under 14th Amendment. A Fraudulent status & ready to pull the rug out from under us with your muscle... EO 12425 (The UN+Interpol) They now link the fictitious w/natural man
Thats some moto stuff. I have never done anything as hard as BUDs training, but I am a Marine and I know its the greatest feeling in the world to complete a training evolution that you put everything you got into, good job!
@Bluesmanification It isn't just physical attributes, it's mental as well. If you can make it through Indoc, you are certainly capable of fulfilling the physical aspect of BUD/s. BUD/s is designed to test the mental fortitude and determination of the SEAL candidates when faced with hardship. Your body can take alot more than you'd think. Even when you do not think that you're body can go any further, it will. BUD/s is 90% in your head. Being in excellent shape helps though haha.
Internet warriors continue to piss me off. They absolutely cannot comprehend how tough this training really is. It isn't just cranking out pushups and surviving cold water. It's a mind game that plays with your head. For anybody who is serious enough to go: You will face pain like nothing ever before. You will be more afraid than anything ever before. You will look at the sun setting on Sunday night with a fearful dread that has no equal, but you will forever be changed just by going.
that's got to be so gratifying when your instructor says that. I know its just the beginning of training. but that's got to give them so much encouragement.
this makes me want to pump out 400 push ups and fight for my country. these guys are what every man should inspire to be...the elite...beyond social comprehension...THE BEST.
Im sorry your jealous, and you are probably a buck 25 so honestly stop kidding yourself. Your gonna say all these comments on you tube but you would never say them to my face because you would get your shit tossed....
You're 19 years old. You know damn well you were never a SEAL. Dickheads like you that get on the internet and tell people that they are something they aren't is disrespectful and a slap in the face to these warriors. You should be ashamed of yourself.
@STRIKERBOY101. lots of running and treading. alot of guys have dropped becasue they can't tread water will holding diving bricks. And alot of guys get dropped or rolled for having shin splints.
Im an army infantryman who has read the book "the lone survivor"....and I have to say it took heart to do what he did...anyone who is gonna read this and plans to get past hell week in BUD/s...remember what Lutrell lost...give 110% and then some so we never lose a larger amount of us elite warriors like that again and leave one man to fend for himself...im a humble combat vet and hope all in the future will learn from our mistakes and become smart, tactical and proficient...all of us lead the way
If you read "The Warrior Elite" and "The Finishing School" by Dick Couch, he explains that it is the same, but different. He was a SEAL in Vietnam and he thinks it's a whole lot more realistic. I don't know, but he has first hand experience. Good books worth reading!

BUD/S will NEVER change the way they do things because the instructors at BUD/S would never send a scrub to a team knowing he might jeapordize his mates
@Rangerleadtheway44 I'm pretty sure the only times they do run BUD/s classes is close or during Winter so you get that nice cold feeling when you go to get wet and sandy :) hooyah!
@deltaecho1 This is at Coronado. You can only go so far down the beach until thereis a barrier and if you are not military you cant go on.However you can see the seal obsticles and sometimes the boat crews doing their thing in the surf.Amphib Ops is based across the street but it is strictly off limits. If you go to Coronado check out McPs pub.Seal hangout and the make a meat loaf to die for.Great job SealTeamSix.
I think for Phase 1 and 2 you get the week ends off but not the one before hellweek. It is alot of men that passed in this class i think its because of the new BUD/S prep course in Great Lakes. Its great because there alot of people filter out so now the BUD/S classes consist of more solid men that really want to be there. My time is getting close =)
@amphib6 I don't know man, im not in BUD/S yet- i am in pre-BUD/S mentor program, and every now and then you get these really soft guys who come through and you just think "are you serious"? on the other hand you never know of someone's internal strength, they could be the ones to make it sometimes and the guys who you think are beasts don't.
@M0dernWarfare2FAN They just decided it wasn't right for them. They found out that they wanted to say they were a SEAL more than they actually wanted to be one. I'm not a Navy guy, I'm an infantryman, but I honestly believe that there are no pussies in BUD/S itself
No, after they started making classes with around 290 to start out Indoc, and about 100 people who start out hellweek. thats a normal number to make it through.
