  • every ounce of milk sold should be traceable back to the farm, where the consumer can visit if they wish or visit on-line. With no hidden underground production facilities just to make money. Or just make almond milk cheaper and stop raping animals.

  • Organic is such a vauge word, what exactly will this include. Chemical fertilisers aren't nessasarily bad.

This video is just showing the most extreme example, most dairy farms I've seen are nothing like that.

Unfortunately it's very difficult to both treat animals well and also feed over 6bn.

One answer may be artifical meat and possibly milk grown in labs, even peta is behind this

  • That proposal is massively expensive. I am certainly not going to pay for it.

  • In the process of giving up dairy, I'm doing well! Also giving up meat and then veganising myself asap. I'm on the path!

  • Milk is madness, Why? because its linked to Leukaemia, Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease etc; look up the videos by Scientists & Doctors. To make milk pay farmers breed cows with colossal udders and take their calves away after 24 hours, the cows then grieve and bellow at the farm gate, suffering mental trauma. Its unlikely farmers will see Ahimsa dairy as viable unless cows produce far more than the calf needs; which "still" leads to lameness, disease and an earlier death. Milk Always Sucks.

  • @3finker you are such an idiot, the cow doesn't care, all it wants is to eat sleep shit piss sleep and eat and drink, you know why???? because they know no better, same as a human wouldn't if our society worked the same way, and the reason why we have different cultures beliefs and morals. they might call for it for half an hour at most, soon as they eat the don't care.

  • Ahimsa is the doctrine that holds that all forms of life are sacred and urges the avoidance of violence. Taking milk from a mother cow is inherently violent. Don't believe me? Just google "male calves" and see what is done to the babies that are denied their mother's milk so that people can "enjoy" it. Organic only refers to the animal feed, it has no bearing on how the animals are treated. Additionally, milk cows are cruelly slaughtered at the end of their lives. How is any of that "ahimsa?"

  • I'm a vegetarian and I've been informed that even organic milk is cruel as they still separate the mother from the calf at birth.

  • I often wondered why Vegan and not a lacto-vegetarian. As I grew up and traveled to the west, I knew why. I also wondered why all this fuss about respect for the cows in India.

In ancient India, they believed that you cannot take anything from nature by brute force, but only as an exchange. You can drink the cow's milk only if you show love and respect to it.(In S.India there is a day celebrated as the birthday of the cattle.) Anything that is forcibly taken from nature was not acceptable.

  • When I was vegan and I would explain to this guy I lived with why I don't drink milk they would say that they lived on a dairy farm growing up and that the cows need to be happy to produce good milk so the dairy industry can't treat them cruelly and he said that on his farm his dad kept them as pets afterwards and didn't kill them.

  • Go to a farm and see what is actually happening first hand. Otherwise you shouldn't even bother commenting cause you don't have the faintest clue about what running a farm is really like.

  • Id love to see how you could milk a cow whilst keeping it with it's calf and make ends meet. You people have to realise that life isn't all rainbows and rabbits flying around. These things have to be done, or most of the people who are living now will die from starvation, it's impossible to make food cheap without farming on an intensive scale, so do you want to live or die?

  • @JCB411abuser

you need fresh air and clean water to live. milk eggs and the lot are luxuries. get it straight and grow a heart.

  • @DelilahZoe sorry but that is retarded. If you want intensive farming to stop then prepare to pay much more for everything, not just food, cause if the cost of living goes up, then so must the cost of everything down the line.

  • @JCB411abuser the food that is fed to animals on factory farms could feed the starving. Think before you type.

  • @middy444 you have no idea, the majority of what cows eat we could not digest so YOU think before you type. go do some research into the actual diet of a dairy cow, visit a farm and see.

  • I hate seeing things like this; it's so horrible ... but it's really happening.

  • Make the cows happy!

I'm sure humans wouldn't like to be crammed into a small box, beaten, then have giant hoovers attatched to their nipples for a few hours, to then be fed, and shitting and pissing all over themselves in their tiny box.

Cruelty to animals should stop. I know it's cheaper but this should stop. I know organic milk tastes much nicer.

  • @RedPsycho666 milk is milk, the only thing that changes is fat content, more fat equals creamier milk, which tastes nicer. They leave more fat in the milk to make it taste better so you'll buy the more expensive milk.

  • @RedPsycho666 plus forgot to mention that a milking machine doesn't work like a hoover, the cup holds the liner, the inside is vacuumed in so the liner squeezes the teat of the cow to extract the milk, and then the outside of the liner is vacuumed out to release the teat and let the milk down, it's actually alot gentler than milking by hand.

  • Going back to the old ways is a nice thought, however it is not physicaly possible. As long as a cow has a lot of good feed, well maintained pen, comfortable place to lay and a dry lot to walk on , she is happy.

  • Okay, concerning the idiots in the comments...

Calcium IS important. You NEED calcium. However, milk is really not your only option. It has a good amount of calcium, but so do vegetables. If people just ate their veggies they'd be fine.

I have been a vegan my whole life and I think the fact that I have thick, shiny hair and can lift 30+ pounds on gym equipment says that I'm a hell of a lot healthier than most of you.

  • @NarwhalVsUnicorn42 are you twelve cause that is pretty weak, that's not even a bag of coal. Not really promoting the vegan lifestyle very well.

  • whats this song cause i like it,...

  • "Calcium is essential for living organisms, particularly in cell physiology, where movement of the calcium ion Ca2+ into and out of the cytoplasm functions as a signal for many cellular processes. As a major material used in mineralization of bones and shells"

so umm.. yeah.. Calcium is good for your bones nicholastasker...

  • I really want some milk.

Better go get the 'cruel milk' outta the fridge and quench my thirst.

  • not all milking is done like your showing a lot of the farms near me have them trotting about outside till they need milking then they bring them and let them out when they done but i do agree that cows who are treated badly need to able to go out in open spaces

  • The point is, only a minority of farms do that. It's cheaper to cram the animals together and beat them to get them to do what you want so the biggest dairy companies get milk from those places. Most people get their milk based on price, fat amount, or what they think they know. You will rarely see somebody who goes out of their way to get organic milk.

  • i think that forcing animals to work for us is cruelty. i know you're vegetarian, why not vegan?

  • after reading the description (info bit) Id like to mention that i am a meat eater but i still care about this and i am signing the petition because i actually want to be vegan but i dont have the willpower :(

  • On my farm, we rais our cows the old fashiond way. Grain, Hay and grass. Plus a dose of vitamins. If a cow gets sick, we eill give him or her medicine. Its child's liquid tylinol.

  • have you ever had a moment were you want some milk then you drink a load and you feel like your gonna be sick but you dont?

  • If you want cruelty-free milk and something that's perfectly healthy for you (and no, soy is not healthy), just make nut milk. Put your favorite type of nut in the blender, add an equal part of water, and there you go. Tastes even better than soy and dairy. ---- Raw vegan.

  • But why not just get soy milk... it tastes practically the same

  • i heard that soy milk contains estrogene or something like that.

I'm a guy so i dont really think i want to grow boobs.

  • what the? that's random and untrue.

  • ur right. i researched it some more and it turns out it doesn't really affect your testosterone/estrogene levels

  • i hate to break it to you all but the people that buy milk force farmers to cull cows that are unproductive if you dont wabt us to cull cows pay more for ur milk....oh wait thats just silly

go out to a dairy farm and look at how cows get treated they are out lively hood and are treated with the utmost respect it makes no sense to mistreat them ..

  • Clearly not, buying milk from this company doesn't force them to cull cows. So I have no idea how other farmers are doing it that by buying milk it FORCES them to cull the cows.

  • I'm hungry.....

    ...for humans!!

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, non organic milk costs a shitload and dosent really taste too different.

  • You've completely missed the point.

  • Im saying yes Im sure we should be nice to the cows, but some people just cant afford it.

I meant to say organic in the first comment, which Im sure you realised.

  • Buuuttt..you sort of missed the point of the video?

  • Ben,

The sentiment is great but realistically, humans should not be consuming milk after the age of 2 as milk is designed for the young. It's ridiculously unnecessarily. Do we really have a right to take their milk in the firs place?

It's like saying "I am against slavery, but if we treat them nicely, it's ok".

Soy, almond and oat milk and awesome alternatives. And you can get pretty much any product dairy free. Not to mention cow milks detrimental long term health effects.

  • for fuck sake you idiot, the calsium

  • Cow's milk is a TERRIBLE source of calcium. The countries with the highest rates of osteoperosis (weak bones) have the highest rates of dairy intake. Calcium is not even an issue. Cow's milk will make you piss your bones down the toilet.

  • @VUandChips obviously you must have a doctrine in chatting through your arse.

  • @JCB411abuser. Did you mean 'doctorate'? Your sentence doesn't really make sense. I have researched vegetarianism/veganism. If you don't believe what I said then feel free to do some of your own research. A good place to start is The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. Maybe then you will be able to contribute to the debate rather than relying on ad hominem attacks.

  • @VUandChips to say that cow's milk will make you piss your bones down the toilet is just nonsense. I live on a farm and have drank milk(non-pasturised) all my life, and would say it is one of the biggest reasons I'm as healthy as I am. I don't even believe milk should be pasturised cause of the passive immunity it gives. Local fresh milk, bought daily would really boost your immune system. And I probably do mean doctorate, I can't be bothered to look it up.

  • @JCB411abuser The countries with the highest dairy consumption also have the highest rates of ostoeperosis. That is my main point. If you can't argue back against that point then why do you waste my time by replying? Your little anecdote about living on a farm means nothing to me. I don't care if you drink 1,000 pints of pussy cow's milk every day of your life. Another fun little fact: The earlier a child is given cow's milk the higher the likelihood that it will be diabetic. Toodles.

  • @VUandChips that is a load of speculative bull and if you had any common sense then you would know that.

  • You mean 'calcium.' And actually, you have been tricked by marketing into believing that the milk in calcium is good for you. I suppose you think it's good or necessary for teeth and bones. Well it isn't. Quite the opposite.

Maybe you should be more considerate before you begin insulting people out of your own ignorance.

  • i am gonna go drink some milk and have steak

  • im vegetarian

  • All you would do is piss a lot of people off if you prohibit all non-organic milk sales, and cause organic milk sale prices to drop because not everyone can afford $5 a gallon milk!

  • I don't live in the UK but I do buy organic milk and plan to leave meat. I"ll sign the petition though if I can.

  • 0:30 you don't have to kill acow for its milk ben

  • Its what you do with a cow after it doesn't give milk anymore, or its too old. and what you do with the male calfs that are born so the mommy can make milk.

  • Vegans aren't going to buy you milk! Vegetarians might LOL

  • Well no...they are not killed for meat, the farmers have found a way to make a few bobs out of veal, true, but even without veal they would kill the calves (and in many cases they are killed outright soon after birth and disposed of). It is because dairy bulls serve no purpose to the farmer and they cannot afford to keep them.

And this is the reason why some people are vegan instead of vegetarian, because killing is an inescapable aspect of the commercial milk and egg industries.

  • Hey Ben, great video. I'm vegan, and this is because not only is cruelty free milk unavailable to me at this point but also because as I see it whenever animals are used to make a profit their interests always have to be weighted against the need of the farmer to make money. No matter how kind the farmer is if he wishes to run a business some animals must be killed and animals must be denied some of their desires or natural behaviours. For instance, if the males were not killed he would be...

  • ...overrun with non-producing animals that still need to be fed and cared for. The same goes for aging dairy cows who's milk supply has begun to trail off.

I know that individuals, such as Hare Krishna cow protectionists, are able to keep a cow or two to supply small groups of people with milk without killing any cows but I cannot see this translating into a successful business venture. I don't think many existing farmers would be interested in further reducing their profit margins...

  • ...especially when most of them eat meat and see no problem with killing animals in principle.

I see perhaps individuals could become involved in milk cooperatives, with people sponsoring the cows and recieving milk in return maybe? Perhaps the cows used could be those saved from slaughter, so you are also doing the cow a 'favour'. So I am not saying that cruelty free milk is impossible I just cannot see it being done on a profit basis and remaining inline with the requirements you lay down.

  • i live on a dairy farm and the cows we have are milked three times a day and they are all on the feild at the moment, the barn is very clean and they arn;t drugged what a load of bull shit!

My father feeds them on food with no adiative and cow enjoy been milked!

If anything milking cows is good for the and keeps them happy

The cows go into the milking parlour at their own will We have never had to force them,

NO DAIRY COWS ARE KEPT IN LITTLE PENS

0:26 would be a calf that will be slaughtered

  • For meat

  • it obviously happens

    maybe not on your farm

but it happens or there would be

    no reason for this video

    or the campaign

  • well thats te way we do it and i don't know any one in th UK who does ti like this

certanily in china it's very intensive

  • probably because

    its cheaper and faster

and easier that giving a cow a good life

i mean they do it when they grow cows

etc. for meat some people may do it for milk to

    your good not to

  • But do you kill male calves? Do you send the poor old female cow to slaughter when she can no longer give you the milk which you've taken from her her whole life? It's about treating the animals with respect and not like slaves.

  • i have not had milk in 3 years......though unfortubnately because i thought it was disgusting. now i do it for the cows!!!! i signed the petition ^-^

  • I eat meat and drink lots of milk..i need the calcium and shit but I signed the petition because its right. But how will it even make a difference? It wont..

  • i'm proud to say that i'm a vegan! :)

  • Cows are evil. They are plotting to destroy the planet by farting out greenhouse gases. We should murder them all and eat them. It's them or us.

  • Yeah man, fuck cows. \m/

  • Yaaaaay more biased un-informed animal rights bullshit!

1.) Cows are NOT drugged, they are cleaned daily, if not every other day. A happy cow produces more and better milk.

2.) Barns are cleaned twice daily as tractorboydavid stated.

3.) Dairy cows are rarely killed, veal isn't in demand.

4.) Disease is RARE!!!! If the animals do become sick it is either because of the food, or human interaction. When they are sick vets are on call 24/7

Im proud to drink 2 big assed glasses of milk daily.

  • i dont think u know what you're talking about

  • I don't know what I'm talking about? Yet I actually worked on a dairy farm. It's misinformed animal rights nazi's that post here that truly have no fucking clue as to what transpires on a farm.

God damn petards have no clue to what goes on, the lot of ya's need to make like a tree and fuck off, your doing the world a great disservice, and harming the people that feed us without ANY proof whatsoever.

  • one farm isnt the same as others, u know

  • No there not, but thats why rules and regulations MUST be followed when running a dairy farm. This includes such things as: Sanitation, Feed and water (cleanliness) proper vaccinations for the animals. Constant cleaning of ALL equipment that even comes near the cows. And every truck that comes in to pick up the milk is washed top to bottom, inside and out, every single one. Every dairy farm I have ever been to (quite a few) has been spotless. Im willing to bet they're cleaner than most houses.

  • Proud to have not had a glass of milk in a year.

    Long live soy!

  • i'm a vegan!!!!

  • 3. are cows are kept in great conditions, the barn is mucked out twise daily and is realy clean, they have fans and specail brushes to relax on. cows normaly get dieased from bagers and things.

    4. well our cows seem very happy and so do the calfs, there always jumping around!

5.killed? when? we dont kill the male calfs but most farms do because no one really buys veal, most people buy beef but if would be half and half we wouldent need to do this!

sorry for taking up so much room

  • "killed? when? we dont kill the male calfs but most farms do because no one really buys veal"

Hey there, what happens to the male calves on your farm. Do you raise them for veal yourself or sell them on to another farmer who will raise them for veal?

  • we raise them and sell em to someone else who the sell them as veal

  • Cheers for giving me an answer :-)

  • i bet the people who made this video have never atchaly been to a dairy farm in there life.

now people what we want to stop is battrey chicken farming because that is bad

  • "i bet the people who made this video have never atchaly been to a dairy farm in there life."

Probably not, most people believe that cows magically give milk, like they are some kind of milk machines that never have to be impregnated and therefore they don't understand the veal connection. On the other hand some people probably do also imagine modern dairies as worse then they are.

I do feel sorry for farmers, vegetarians seem to want the impossible from them. I am vegan because I know...

  • ...what is being asked for is unreasonable, in terms of making any kind of profit. I personally do not believe in killing animals for food and I know that killing animals is a neccessity for 99% of all animal agriculture. I would say 100 but I heard of a vegetarian wool farmer who refused to send her lambs to slaughter once. After all my research I have been unable to find any reference to 'vegetarian' milk, with farmers refusing to kill male calves or spent cows...I think because it is unviable

  • Comment removed

  • 2. there not drugged? well we feed are cows some maize and grass silage which is tasty, barley and a speial syrup thing that is like sugar for cows.

  • no no no,im a farmer and i have to say that your making it sound horrible when its not.

    1. to start with when you say the milk is force fed, well what over way are you going to get the milk out of the cow!milking parlour/ man with buket is exactly the same method, and the milking parlour is quite relaxing for cows, free tasty pelets, sprnklers/ fans to cool em down in hot summers....

  • I have to say, fail.

I disagree. I will ignore the fact that the photos shown were the most extreme cases and simply talk facts.

If they didn't do that, then the price of milk would skyrocket. People wouldn't bother buying the milk, so there would be no need for the farmers to keep dairy cows. They would simply slaughter them for the meat.

The cow population dwindles, and we start seeing them in zoos. Lol =P

  • if we don't have our milk how do we eat our super spicy burrito's?

  • In Ireland dairy cows are all at least partially free range but i dont know if calves are kept with mothers can tis be got in Ireland?

  • Where do you ppl get that all dairy farmers treat there cows like shit?? So someone took some pics from a farm. And you use those pics, And tell everyone thats how ALL dairy cows are treated its sick and wrong. Look at my videos do my cows look like that??????

  • Um hello! Most beef calves stay with there mothers, Untill they are ready to move on.And beef arnt dairy.

  • The only way to stop cruelty to animals is stop commercializing them. There is no reason to believe that the animals will be treated well if it is organic. To produce enough milk for an entire country there animals are going to be mistreated. For one, to keep milk production high enough the cows have to be continually impregnated, which are then killed or sold at auctions for veal production. Everyone that believes this video should watch the video called humane myth.

  • 1 Cows are no constantly in calf and

2 If cows were taken out of calf then they wouldnt produce milk, so there would be no dairy cows if no1 drank milk....now who's the lemming!!!

  • Just because I eat meat doesnt mean I don't care where it comes from!!!!

Animals don't deserve to be treated cruelly, but I think I have the right to eat meat and not be stereotyped as not caring for the well being of animals as I do and want the meat, eggs, milk I eat/drink to my produced in an ethical way!

  • why doesn't this stupid fucker ben find something which is actually cruel and make a film on that instead of dragging down hard working people that are very caring for thier animals.

  • Cows are not force feed they have plenty of food put in the feeders for them to come and eat freely. Unlike in the video where the group of cows have hardly any grass to eat thus basically starving the cows. The total opposite of what this video is supposed to be promoting 'cruelty free milk'. Showing that these people dont know wat the fuck they are on about.

  • the group of cows in the film have fuck all grass to eat. bit cruel if you ask me

  • yeah its great and all, but if you have a high demand for milk, then it will be difficult to maintain the production of it. Thats why company's use technology etc. its probably difficult to run a successful "cruelty-free milk" business because of all the other competitors in the market.

  • Why are you guys obsessed by organic food? Explain why it is better than normal milk?

  • I believe that Ben is a Hindu; I'm not sure, I don't know the guy. But it's part of Hinduism's beliefs to treat ALL living beings with respect. I imagine this is why he's for organic food products, as the animals live naturally.

  • Organic cows can be fed upto 60% of there ration from conventionally produced products, and there are still intensive organic farms. You guys need to travel around the UK and look at some dairy farms then come back with an arguement!!

  • Actually, I don't really agree with milk being 100% organic only, I was just defending his POV. :P

I live in America, and in an area with lots of farming. The cows I see have plenty of room. :)

  • Come download over 25,000 movies for no money! go to greatmovies[DOT]tk

  • THE BABY COW IS SO FRIGGEN CUTE.

  • ahimsa! I'm already friends with them on myspace. I've been making sure the only milk i drink is organic ever since. Ahimsa for the win!

  • I signed it :)

  • I think getting rid of non organic milk is good, mostly because people are cheap and lazy. If they have no other option they will have drink organic milk, this means they will actually try it and enjoy it.

  • Well thanks for the the intelligent answer, "tuff shit if it costs money", doesn't answer the question of where the money is going to come form. Contrary to popular belief, the majority of farmers, especially dairy farmers, DO NOT have money coming out their ears. If folk are so keen to see dairy bull calves avoid the abbatoir then you provide the land, time, money and manpower, I would bet most farmers would be happy to provide with all the dairy bull calves you could wish for, free of charge.

  • Thank you. I am vegan but I have been trying to tell people this for the last few weeks. What vegetarians are asking dairy farmers to do is impossible, unfortunately.

  • really good cause,

does anyone have any tips for becoming a vegetarian / vegan, when you don't like vegatables very much?

(even though that sounds stupid :P)

i wonna be a vegetarian, but i don't have much willpower, and i was raised eating meat =/

  • omg, i have the same problem, lol.

love meat, hate veggies, but i want to be a vegetarian.

  • hehe i've pretty much started it think, but i want to drink organic milk, and eat organic eggs, cheese, ect...but it's difficult when you dont have a supportive or positive enviroment, lol

  • I agree with you there! it is just so hard to actually become a vegetarian even though I want to.

  • Try only eating meat every other day for awhile (people tend to ignore the fact that even just partially cutting down your meat consumption can make a huge difference), then stop eating red meat, then have your only meat source be seafood, and then take the plunge into vegetarianism. It isn't always easy but to be honest after a year of going veg meat kind of repulses me. Your tastes will change towards vegetables and tofu as well. reading animal rights literature helps.

    Go for it!

  • Thanks! I guess your right, that's really good advice :D

  • To each his/her own I say.

In Australia most dairy cows graze for the majority of the day anyway. There's an organic dairy here in North Queensland (Mungalli Creek Dairy) - they only pasturise their milk, it's not homogenised (so the cream floats to the top) - and it tastes sensational! It only costs about $1.50 more for a 2L bottle than your everyday milk. You can visit the dairy up on the Atherton tablelands - beautiful lush pastures.

  • Awesome idea! I would love to see 100% organic products filling my stores shelves!

  • I THINK PEOPLE SHOULD READ INTO THE TOPIC A BIT DEEPER TO REALLY DECIDE WHERE THEY STAND INSTEAD OF JUMPING ON THE MIS-INFORMATIVE BAND WAGON. lIKE THIS VIDEO

  • Hear, hear

  • The only difference between organic milk and non organic milk is the feed that is feed to them nothing else. The diference in the feeds is that one is produced using fertiliser and the organic doesn't use fertiliser, making it far more unproductive. Organic cows can be administered the same drugs as non organic farms, are milked in the same milking parlours which can be washed with the same chemicals as the non organic farms. Cows on both type of farms are treated and handled in the same way.

  • thats why i always buy organic milk

  • lol it's funny how you think you have an argument.

everything you've said is selfish, and i doubt you see how you're obliviosly a part of people putting themselves above other animals. tuff shit if it costs money, money has been invented, and can be printed, you get to actually turn around in your life time. smart arse

  • And on another point, why do some of you that have posted think its alright to try and force vegetarianism on people? I certainly don't see many of us meat eaters forcing you to eat meat.

  • One question for you, what are you proposing people do with the bull calves etc, instead of sending them to the abbatoir? Let me guess "roam about in a field for the rest of their lives". Are you gonna provide the land for all these cattle to just roam around? What about the other costs, like health issues, feeding, housing in the winter months etc? What about the extra labour involved? NOBODY has the money, time or manpower for daft ideas like that. I'm not even gonna start on the other issues.

  • i really appreciate you making this vid. it gets the message out to more people. nice job..a really worthwhile cause. c:

  • widebeest, zebra, antelope, deer in fact any wild animal is constantly pregnant you moron, not being pregnant is not natural

  • so...if the bullocks aren't slaughtered...where do they go?

  • It's a very good start but does anyone actually NEED milk?

  • You owe me 79 years worth of lovin' Mr Loka

  • Does anyone now what to look for on milk products to ensure that its cruelty free, ie like the free range labels on eggs? Also is organic milk production less cruel in terms of bullock slaughter? Ta!

  • signed it :)

  • Right on! =)

  • haha fer sure :)

  • I signed it :D

I have a warm fuzzy feeling know! yay :3

  • Hooray!!

  • You should see the cows in california. They walk around in knee deep feces and mud, so packed in they hardly have much room to walk.

  • I've avoided drinking milk for about the past six months because of how they treat the animals, and of course for the health benefits from soy milk and such.

I don't live in the UK, so I dunno if my signature means anything, but I signed it all the same.

    Best of luck Ben.

  • THanks so much for signing =)

  • I signed the petition twice and I don't even live in the UK anymore! I hate animal cruelty, especially the by-products of the diary industry like veal.

  • Thankyou!!

    Twice!! =)

  • Possibly a worthy cause, but prohibiting the sale of non-organic milk in supermarkets!? Never going to happen! They should be concentrating on promoting the cause instead.

  • Ben, you have a senior responsibility to check the truth for yourself. This may be true but as presented you are just repeating the propoganda of another organization. Dont be a puppet.

    Namaste

  • when was ben ever a puppet? don't you think he has checked it out himself? i think it's good, and the fact he has just used someone elses film to show what he believes isn't wrong.. it's expedient.

and do you think that maybe you telling him not to be a puppet might be slightly condescending?

  • I don't think he has checked it out, if he had then he'd have realised that (aside from the obvious bias) there are a number of basic factual errors in the video.

  • It may have come over as condescending and if it did I apologize. I still mean everyword I said. I am working on the assumption he didn't check it out properly. I agree with the general principles Ben stands for that is why I love the guy. I am in fact already a non milk drinking vegetarian but I didn't become that way because of some propoganda. I am pretty sure I know EXACTLY where Ben is coming from - and I fear its not the same place as this video.

  • as a cow lover and owner of four of them- I'm very happy to see this video- benloka thanks!!! ima go sign that petition now!

  • Thankyouuuuu! =)

  • i dont care wat they do to the cows, god put them on this earth for us, for our benefits. they are not our pets they are livestock, soon to be deadstock, on my plate where they belong. all of those fake religions telling you to worship cowws and other animals are completely stupid. so are vegetarians, have you looked at nature you stupid hippies? everywhere animals are eating each other. anyone who doesnt eat meat is mentally sick and doesnt deserve to be a human. go back to your bongs hippies

  • yeah, but in nature there isn't an abudance of food for th e animals. They don't know to grow food to eat for themselves. They're animals..

  • Ah im no hippue and i dont smoke marajuana

  • Edit: It just occurred to me this vid came from BenLoka :O. My response may be dramatic, but when we omnivores receive dramatics, we feel the need to respond dramatically. Alls fair in the love for meat and war against it.

  • beatlesfreak264 - Animals were given for our good. There are some things you'll never get unless you get it from a beast unless you plan to eat bugs all day long. Even then, you're missing important stuff. There are God given benefits from eating meat and some of us are too smart to be fooled by these sympathy videos. If meat was so bad for us, you'd think it would have poisoned us by now or caused a genetic downspiral over the past few centuries. Guess what. We're still going fine.

  • you have a great point there

  • Hey, guess what?

The video isn't about n ot eating meat, so why are you h arping on about that?

  • this is a really good vid thanks :):)

why are people so cruel? but dont we all know why, it just has to be asked over and over again.

  • Thanks for this. Horrible.

I'm vegetarian. But it's hard to stop using milk at all. Like eggs, same thing and honey if you see it like that.

    <3

  • Agreed!

  • I don't drink cow milk.

I only drink grocery store milk.

  • Not all farms are like this. I think this video insinuates that most are, and that is unfair. While the idea behind the video is good, it is somewhat bias.

  • Duh, your hindu...the cow is sacr..

  • Praise the Vegetarian/Vegan beat down that Omnivore. I really feel the hindu love here. I watched that video and laughed, though I didn't like that the other bovine had to watch. But let's take it too the wild shall we...Wild Animal get killed in front of each another by it's natural predator..so why not them.

  • A lot of farms are nothing like that. But ones that are should definetly change.

Sorry, this is off-topic but I made a video called "One World...",watch it if your interested and tell me what you think.

    Trying to make a difference...

  • thank you so much for putting this out there. i signed to petition!
