how i was hoping to figure this out finally, little did i know, when i watched the video you were ethir drunk or retarded, if retarded sorry. if drunk LOL. I still not know what to do with the RCA cables and also you talk about the most stupidest stuff. i dont care about your life story, tell it at a party bro. Make a better video.
@Dman1760 I am so sorry, but your rude, ignorant comment has resulted in my blocking you from this channel! I am not a professional, and this was done LONG ago. Grow up, and maybe you can come back. Bye Bye!
@mekaylshahnawaz Dude, I am visually impaired - and I cannot help the blinking. Not being rude, but rude people aren't welcome on this channel. You're blocked! Grow up.
Thank you for the video and the info, I know this vid is approaching three years old, but I was wondering a few things.
A) Could you PM the brand/model of headphones you used in the vid, if you still know/have them.
B) For future reference, when talking about adapters, cords, etc... You might try showing diagrams, or examples/images of said devices... as I am not exactly sure what types and designs of cables you speak of... PM your response if you don't want to advertise brands, etc...
@EreinionGilgalad Thank you for the comment and for watching. I agree that I should have used diagrams and such, but frankly I wasn't very prepared to do this video - and it was a spir of the moment thing. I am sorry, but I do not find the headphones I used in the video (they were from RadioShack, and honestly they were quite sorry any way). As far as I can find - RadioShack no longer carries them. I'm sorry. Again - thanks for watching and commenting.
@TheOnePistol Thanks for your question. Using the method I describe - I've never seen a television with AV outputs that controls the output volume through the AV jacks. Typically, the audio produced by the AV jacks is at 100% volume. This is why you need headphones with a volume control. You wouldn't want to blast your ears. If you are fortunate enough to have one of the rare tvs that have built in headphone jacks, then the tv's volume will control the headphone's output volume.
@FKNclan - Not sure what you are saying in your post, but I'm going to interpret it as an ignorant one - and block you from posting on this channel. Grow up and learn to communicate.
@RealWildBorn Certainly wireless headphones (COULD) be used in much the same way. You would need a wireless headset with a receiver which connected via AV connectors, or an AV to mini (headphone type plug) adapter which is actually really cheap. Since ALL wireless headphones have their own volume control, you're covered.
@cl10367 Ummmmmm! I think I said in the video that you need to get a splitter which has a mini/headphone jack on one end, and AV plugs on the other. You'll also need headphones with an in-line volume control. You then plug the headphones into the headphone jack, and the other end you just match up to the color coded plugs on your modern tv.
@iAmV4Der your calling him retarded because his eyes are a little messed up? thats like calling someone retarded because their fingers are messed up...you're stupid.
@iAmV4Der Just be aware that I am noting your repeated rude remarks, and your repeated harassment is bordering on stalking, (which since you choose to stalk online - can also be a federal crime), and you should know that once reported to authorities - your computer/smart phone can be tracked down by federal authorities, and cyber stalking is a FEDERAL crime. I'm also tracking back your IP address, and logging it for legal purposes. Your bordering on breaking the law.

hi, i was wondering if you knew what could be wrong, my tv has a headphone jack but when i plug my headphones in i bearly hear anything and most of it is just buzz and the sound in the tv doesn't turn off so there will be sound on tv and a little sound in headphones it's really annoying.
@epli93 Thanks for checking out my vid. I don't know much about this kind'a thing, but it sounds like you may have a loose wire. There is usually a small wire that runs from the headphone jack to the main board inside your TV. Unless you are comfortable working around high-voltage circuitry - I would be very cautious working on it yourself though. The actual headphone jack wire doesn't transmit enough to hurt anything, but TVs have a high-voltage capacitor inside.
@VideoGuyNC ok, thx but idk if i'll do it seems like a bit of a work.. and idk anything about tv.. so if i'd do something i prolly would ruin it so i guess i'll just have to wait till i get a new tv lol, thx anyways :)
@tetra3000 Well, you can get quite a few headsets with a volume control built right into the cord, or on the headphones. I believe you can even get some good wireless headphones with remote volume controls. The headphones you see in the video have the volume control right on the ear pieces.
@YoureDropped Thanks for your comment. I don't know a lot about the PS3, but I think you may need to change the settings to rout the sound through the audio cables rather than via the HDMI cable. With HDMI cables the defaults send the sound via the HDMI cable along with the video. Hope this helps.
i have a pair of headphones that i wanted to use when i'm playing video games, and ps3s dont have any way of connecting them. i got some audio to work but i can only hear other peoples vioce. anyway thanks again
I'm guessing from ur comment that ur using a gaming headset with a mic, and you can't use the mic, correct? You would need to use a cable to connect the mic connector as well. A single cable works best for mic - while a double works for headphones. Thanks
What the hell man, I don't want to offend you but fuck, if I was interested in headphones, I would search a REVIEW. Basically you talked about your headphones half of the video, and you did not even say what to do with that RCA cable. Should I stick it up my ass and then put my tongue in the TV?!
Actually - I did say that you have to connect the RCA cable end into the RCA audio OUT of your TV. And it's pretty obvious that you have to plug your headphones into the other end of the cable. I didn't EVEN say the brand of the headphones that I'm using.
I just skipped to the part where you actually talked about the cables you need.
Anyway I figured it out myself.
Again, I did not mean to offend you. I just bothered me that you talked about so many things when you had to talk about connecting headphones to the TV.
how did you plug the headphones in if yours was sticking out and you couldn't stick the headphones in?

Hi
I want to get sound out of my headphones to play on my ps3, but my tv has no headphone jack.
There's no Av plug cables thingy either, so I have to use the scart plug to connect the red and white audio.
I play in HDMI.
The 'source' I need to play in is HDMI, there is an option to use SCART aswell.
I know this is just a muddled wall of text, but can you suggest anything to help.
I have the RCA cable thing and the stereo wire, but I still can't do it.
Any tips or help? Thanks.
