The 117 would last about 2.2 seconds against a proper fighter, but DOES carry that "F" identifier, technically making it closer to fighters than bombers. Same thing with the F-111, never in a purposeful dogfight, & the F-14 "BOMB-Cat", in that role because of no planes to shoot. But they're NOT "bombers". Serb-Guy can't quite comprehend that fact.

My country is richer than Russia in every department. Our social services are far superior. RAF is not falling out of the sky...literally (grounded Migs cough cough). RN is not sinking like the Kursk (err...Russia had to call upon UK help to get to the sub becuase they don't have a vessel that can go down that deep lol). Our army is not conscripted and has lost 150 soldiers in Afghanistan as opposed to 1000's of Russians.

You wouldn't "HAHAHA" today if they wouldn't "back down". Btw it wasn't a turn around only from one side. The USA took away their missiles from Turkey in exchange. Something what Western media don't publish much.

Soviets fought with USA in local wars. I don't need to name them. You know them too. And if you think that you won, then you think wrong.
Before leaving Afghanistan Soviets actually achieved what they were mentioned to do there. In 9 years they had 10.000 deaths. The USA and NATO have too much bigger force there. Way too modern equipment than Soviets had 30years ago.
