it does work to lift and better define the bridge to some degree. it is worth a consultation with someone very experienced in performing the procedure.

since this is a non surgical injection procedure, there is no real age limit. when really necessary, i have done it on patients as young as 12. the issue is that crooked noses are tough to do non surgically. you should have someone very experienced in this procedure take a look at your nose in consultation to see if you are a good candidate. good luck

when Artefill is used as the filler, the effect is permanent. the only thing is that Artefill has to be layered in gradually, so it takes 3 to 5 sessions. In my practice, we charge $2000 for the series of treatments.

I, as a man, have a well shaped nose, but it is simply too small. The nose bridge is a bit sunken inwards and this does not go well in balance with my strong forehead and large, manly jaw. Can a filler like this improve my nose to make it a lot stronger looking? I would do them regularly if this is the case.

i can augment a nose with fillers, but only up to a point.

10 to 12 months. it really shouldn't hurt too much - the needle is small and the procedure is quick, if done by an experienced injector.

Does the nose look bigger from the frontal veiw after this is done? Since you're adding more I was just wondering if the top of the bridge now appears larger even though the profile is straight.

if done correctly, the view from the front should only be better as the top of the bridge would be better defined. i take great care to make sure that the bridge does not get wider.

For A 16 Year, after the injection is done and the year is up it looks exactly the same as if it hadn't been done before? When you have it done can you still play sports say soccer and head the ball? Also for every consult or check up after the injection how much is it, how many times will you have to come back,and will you be able to fix if it is still a bit irregular?

whenever you get injections there is risk of bruising, but even if you get a bruise, it lasts for a few days and is gone. usually there is a bit of redness and a bit of swelling right after the procedure. that also goes away within a day or two. i have to be careful with people who have had rhinoplasty surgery at some point because the skin is more fragile. otherwise that is pretty much it. a more complete discussion can be found on my website.

no, it won't make the nose thinner - its a filler that only adds a bit of height (raising the skin) to specific points, making the nose straighter.

it is a temporary filler, so there are really no effects on growing kids. i have done the procedure on a few kids as young as 13, without any issues.

nope - no restrictions. i tell people not to wear heavy sunglasses for a week or two after the procedure, but otherwise you can do whatever you want. the material becomes part of your skin, so it is not going to disloge - in fact i have never heard of that happening in over 1000 cases that i have done.

it depends on the person, but its usually 3 to 5 follow up visits. the material has to be injected layer by layer. it compacts between sessions.

if the nose is large for the face, i cannot reduce it beyond the illusion that making it straight. if they need physical reduction, then it has to be surgical.

also if the bump is too big or the curve of the tip is too much, injections will not work.

no, since it is a temporary filler procedure, it will not affect her growth and development. yes, artefill is a permanent filler that i often use after a trial of the temporary one. that filler i reserve for adult patients.

whether this is permanent or not depends on what filler is used in the procedure. radiesse is temporary and lasts about 10 to 12 months. artefill is permanent

yes, i do artefill nose jobs frequently. results are great, but you need several touch up treatments for the final effect. the total cost is $2000.

@arivkin9 Hi doctor, I've been to you before for the radiesse nose job (which I must say came out AMAZING!), but it didn't last long (5-6 months). I think it might have been because I tend to make faces as I work out so it may have moved around a bit.

Now, I know you offer the artefill nose job, but do you charge extra for the touch up treatments and how long after the initial nose job must it be touched up? Thanks in advance!

sorry it didn't last that long - it is supposed to last closer to a year. if you get an artefill procedure, there will be a break on the pricing.

no, the artefill procedure includes up to 4 or 5 monthly touch up sessions. most people need 3 or so for the effects to be permanent.

@arivkin9 Thanks for the reply. I will most likely end up getting this procedure, but I have one more question. I might be starting accutane, so should I wait or do it before I go on accutane. I'm afraid if I get the artefill, it will somehow come out of my pores as accutane seems to have a purge effect.(I know, it sounds rather far fetched) I've also read that you should wait more than a year after taking accutane to get rhinoplasty . accutane affects how your skin heals, so i always counsel patients to do any cosmetic procedures before starting accutane.

i usually start off by doing the non surgical nose job with radiesse, the temporary filler that lasts about a year. then, when it starts to dissolve, i replace it with artefill, which is permanent.
