The rim to rim is NOT 26 miles. From the North Kaibab up the Bright Angel it's 23 miles, though erroneously listed as 24 miles. I've done it 32 times and my GPS doesn't lie.
The video clearly shows the South Kaibab trail, which is only 21 miles to the North Rim. A *real* rim to rim is 23.9 miles from the Bright Angel to the top of the North Kaibab. Hubby and I do it in 8 hours.

I hiked with these guys last summer on a Rim to Rim hike -- great, fun guys and knowledgeable about the canyon.
