I had a resident at the Nursing Home I work at - she was in her 80's probably. She had tons of scars on her thighs. They were really off - not in a straight line, so it obviously wasn't from a surgery. It was obvious she was a cutter. What cinched the deal was her behavior - she was always trying to defend herself, even when she didn't need to. Something in my gut told me her husband didn't treat her well & didn't value her as a person - like she was put down.. A LOT

You people really are dumb if you think it's about cutting. As @ambarkley said, it's heroin. "curse me, sold her, the poison that runs it's course through her" is a give away on it's own. "she said it's wonderful, wonderful here" is a reference to rehab after the first verse is a reference to overdosing ("a candle is lit" being a reference to how heroin addicts use candles to cook the heroin on their spoons). This song is NOT about cutting. If you think so, you're retarded.

It is a need for immidiate relief of stress or emotions that otherwise cannot be expressed or dealt with in a "healthy manor". Heroin is not a bigger issue or lesser of an issue.
