I Use This Ball. Its Really Good For People With a Smooth Release But I Would Not Recommend For HIGH Rev Crank Shooters Unless They Bowl Ridiculously Fast. But Its Great For Medium Heavy Oil and Also Works well For Long Patterns(41+ ft)

It's dumb because if they make a Taboo pearl it would be just like a black widow pearl... same core but just stronger cover not a big improvement

this ball is my all time favorite. I had 844 w/ it last season but i no longer throw it due to dropping to 15 lbs and it being 16. When it hit the pins they just explode. The pins stay very low to the deck as you can see and i got ALOT of side ways action.

This ball packs to much punch for dry lane conditions, i've had it for around 2 years now, and if you bowl on dry lanes , this ball carries too much hook for dry lanes.

im a 200 average bowler. i bought this ball about a year ago its a very good ball dispite what some may say its good medium to heavy oil ball. I still use it when my theory starts hooking to much and cant find the pocket. I bowled a 707 with the theory/sting combo very good 1-2 punch i recomend either ball.

I owned this ball after owning several other Hammer balls. I did not like this ball. I used for around 3 months, and then replaced it. It's coverstock died after 3 months. I couldn't get any sort of action on the ball, and after having my pro shop guy, sand, resand, bake, and then redrill, he finally told me to give up and get something else. I stayed away from Hammer after that. I bowl Roto-Grip and Storm and have never been happier.

My personal opinion on this ball: I've had it for about 10 months, the third ball I've ever owned, nothing else high performance. I've had it for 10 months as i said, and it is as angular, yet as continuous, and predictable as the day I got it. Its drilled pin about 4 inches from my PAP and the CG is angled away from the center of the grip line. (Pin is above and between both fingers) anyway, I bowl league on a beaten up 42' house and this ball is predicatble and strong. I would recommend it.

I've had this ball going on 5 months now, still reacts just as good as when I got it. Had the cg kicked out and this ball drilled stacked with pin up. Has great length and awsome backend, and that's because I take care of it after each league I bowl. The 2.75 inch pin on this makes amazing, my buddy has one with 1.50 inch pin and it's garbage.

@jonasfromnarvik, I too have the nasty. Its extremely condition specific from what i find. If you dont like it so much try it a different house or wait till you find a different condition and try it. But i know its not stronger than the sting. They advertise the nasty for medium to medium heavy, i find its more of a medium-light ball. You might also want to try adding surface. It still has great length but bites HARD in the back for me. Were talking turning in the back 10 feet to leave a 9 pin.

@Thecoasterchannel I know :p I use at home, we have light 38 feet pattern, it have a great back end like you said :) And yes, its very condotion specific.. though i manage to get good scores with it on other patterns when im on tournaments.. It hits very hard if you get on the right side of the headpin on allmost any condition

What's up with the time delay module on the first lane's pinsetter? On a Brunswick A-2 there is a few second delay between the rake dropping and the deck coming down checking for standing pins and on this machine they come down together right after ball impact much like the earlier Brunswick model A machine.

i got this ball for a christmas present. i would watch this video on a daily basis. the first time i rolled this ball u could truely feel when i threw it perfect and it was so smooth on the lanes. my first game with this ball was a 248 an im a 185 avg bowler.

I got my sting today, omg i didnt think this ball would be much diff to my other the sting is fukn nutz i was having practise with the lanes just turned on only i had 7 in a row and lots of strikes, then i bowled a game got 154 but my pro shop owner drilled the fumb to smmall so i was in pain blisters on the fumb all in all great ball

if you're looking for aggressiveness and hook with a continuation then go with the sting but if you want a ball that will die then go with morich balls, their balls are made to die out and go straight

Im sorry not trying to start an argument here but have you even threw a morich. i just got one of them and they don't die out on some of the higher oil patterns depending on your arm rev they may stall out but they have a lot of hooking potential.

i like the way the whole widow line looks on the lanes but my one of my league teammates has a black widow pearl and it doesnt hook at all... so do these balls wear out quietly? cause i like this ball but if it will die quickly.. what do u guys think?

well look the black widow pearl has been out since 2006-07, it probably lost all its hook potential because of the age and don't to those people who say that the black widow line dies out in 3 months because they don't my dad got the bite and it still hooks and great and a lot and hits hard

The people who say they die out after a couple months don't clean them. You especially need to clean the balls in the widow line after every use because they are like sponges.

people you can make any bowling ball hook its just a matter of when it hooks. I have a venom and it will hook just as much as the sting. it just depends on if you know how to throw it right to get it to do what you want

i really like this ball because of the way it is smooth when it gets to the break point. it doesnt automatically read and jump its straightens out and finishes with alot of strength. this might be the first widow series ball i get.
