I knew I wasn't the only "emo" Republican! Why does emo have to be associated with depression, though? Isn't mania equally emo in a Jungian duality sense? In the US, the Right is the mania to the Left's depression. Case in point: The FDR epoch versus the Reagan epoch. When people are depressed, they beg government to save them. When people are manic, they shrug off the shackles of the state. Mania and Chaos liberate the human spirit.
