I rarely play gears online. So, i was wondering if the matchmaking is based on similar skill levels? Im a level 4 right now... Is that the reason why it takes so damn long to find some teammates?

When you're playing public or private, you seem to get the same amount of points regardless of how well you do. Example if you're playing 5 man public horde, one guy can sit back and get 2 kills while everyone else gets 10+, and he gets the same amount of points as everyone else. Also, it's supposed to group people together with a similar rank group. Then when I'm ranked 35, why do I get matched with people rank 70 or 80? Regardless of whether you win or lose, you should rank up by total kills.

your rank does not go down unless u leave a public match in the midle of it. if you happen to quit out, you will not be deranked rigt away, you will have to complete a full public match and once you finish the match you will lose 1,500 exp. from whatever exp. you earned in that match.

Basically the only way to rank up is to have a good team, which i never have. I won around 15 matches in a row and came top of my team with a good KD ratio every game and stayed at rank:2. Just wait for the new ranking system, it's the only way to show how good you are really. You could be totally awful at the game and be rank:5. If you always win through a good team. Gl ranking...

it's very stupid that quitting games makes rank go down, imagine yourself having to unexpectantly leave for somewhere in the middle of the game, a lot of hard work would be ruined just for one simple instance, or if there is terrible lag and you don't want to waste your time being flung all over the map. hes is some easy tips of how to rank up follow these and over time u will rank up

1.make a team of people that you know you can work well with

2.dont EVER leave a game even if the rest of your team has left it WILL decrease your rank over time

3.if you notice you keep on dying have a private game with frendly fire on against all your friends

4.try playing with people with a higher rank than you if you beat them your true skill will increase drasticly
