  • Gorgeous! Thank you!

  • a beautiful being playing a beautiful piece,is there a more perfect combination?

  • If you'll look up the word "beauty" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of Hilary Hahn next to it. :)

  • armonia eccelsa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Her pitch accuracy is disarming. What a gift. Like listening to a master opera singer.

  • ...and this is what Music is really all about!

  • Simplesmente maravilhoso.....

  • Я потрясен. Вы удивидельное, очаровательное создание. Скрипка в ваших руках становится настолько божественной, что хочется стать единным существом с вашей музыкой. Желаю вам всего самого наилучшего. С уважением, ваш поклонник из России.

  • Wow... I just. i dont know, shes such an inspiration to another violinist.. I can be frustrated with practice and stop to listen to her and then all of a sudden the part I was practicing just seems to come together. I dont how she does it ;). Ty Hilary, for everything.

  • wonderful

  • oh dear Hilary,

being tenderly caressed by each single sound your are finding somehow in your heavenly instrument, shivering, longing for more, wishing this would last forever, for a moment i forget all my struggle and fears ...

  • A natural talent attached to a beautiful woman is usualy a waste - beautiful women get what they want on a silver plate just for being prety.

Hilary is talented - no mistake about that. Cute too. But talent needs work if one is to become an accomplished artist. And I bet that Hilary works her ass off to be THAT good. And I'm gratefull to her for that.

Just curious: what instrument is she playing (violin, I know, but crafted by whom)?

  • @Iustinification You are right. It's always ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration for someone at this level of virtuosity. Rare for women of great beauty to bother putting in that much effort.

Hilary plays a Vuillaume violin. He was a French maker with a reputation for being a bit of a fraud in violin dealing, (passing off his own instruments as Strads and what not). Nevertheless a superb violin maker in his own right.

  • When I Vojo Hilary Hahn, I remember the movie somewhere in the past, his gaze Seems the Mona Lisa, the hair shaft to the sole of the foot she is a complete artwork

  • probably the only violinist i would buy anything by...and the probably the only woman i would make a a complete ass out of myself to meet....

  • Gorgeous piece! Touches the soul as only music can. Thank you, Hilary Hahn and James Newton Howard...

  • bravo

  • Esta mujer comprende de verdad la música... Es capaz de establecer un camino directo y nítido entre los sentidos y emociones en su estado puro y su expresión musical...

  • She is beautiful and sooo sensitive!

  • This song perfectly describes her : ELEGANCE

  • beautiful mastery of a musical instrument. The sound she creates, is like a leaf in the wind. compare "The Lark Ascending" played from Hilary Hahn, Janine Jansen and Nigel Kennedy. so you understand what I mean.

  • Hilary knocked that shit outta the park. Her and James Newton Howard. Wonderul film by M. Night Shyamalan. Fantastic score by James. And fabulous playing by Hilary. I'm so thankful for things and people like that :)

  • she plays so beautifully =)

  • Going to see her on March 11th, can't wait!!! :)

  • When I heard this violinist on the movie

"The Village" I had to find out who it was,

the music nearly would move me to tears!

So beautiful! She's a great artist!!

  • This is brilliance beyond belief. I love hearing this piece. She's incredible. I love the way she plays :)

  • Great quality of audio! The performance was magnificent!

  • almost haunting, yet not really so, it's very hopeful if you ask me. has a lot of personality behind the interpretation. i'm just getting to know her.

  • I never knew that a violinist could be renown, you make me want to become better at playing the violin.

  • Tiene cierta mirada Giocondina. ¿A que sí?...

  • I LOVE YOU HILARY !!! :-)

  • Who are the best violinist in the world?

    Resolved question: Hilary Hahn

  • Such a beautiful tone... :D

  • Such beauty !

  • EXQUISITELY DONE

  • I think the word is "winsome"

  • where can i find the sheet music of this music, please help me... it' s fantastic

  • Tuve el privilegio de verla actuar en Madrid en el auditorio nacional en 2007, es tan dulce en directo como en esta colección de fotos. Gracias.

  • Beautiful collage of photos. Thank you.

  • I simply love her sound...very expressive...an example of a musician playing with her soul..wonderfull!

  • she looks like one of those beautiful princesses living Europe in the 18th century

  • I wonder if she likes classical guitarists?

  • Enochwel, she did play with Josh Ritter so probably :D

  • Awesome!!!

  • She's also played with Valentina Listsa...i saw one of their performances, aned once she even played with a beatboxer, you can see that here if you type in "Beardyman and Hilary Hahn"

  • Well would she date someone who was once a classical guitar turned engineer? LOL JK.

  • This music is soundtrack with film "The Village"

This song is "Will You help me" (with "The Village")

  • what is the name of this piece playing its really beautiful?

  • It is called "Will You Help Me" from "The Village" soundtrack. Hilary Hahn was the featured violinist for the soundtrack - every piece of hers on it is as haunting as this one.

  • wow that was really beautiful

  • Jetzt weiss ich, was wirkliche Musik ist. Hilary ist himmlisch..

  • C'est sa musique qui sans doute lui apporte cette beauté et cette grâce particulières...oublions les grincheux qui préfèrent les violonistes morts...

  • oh! she's so beautiful!!!!!

    and the music too!!!

  • Ah trichoone, thank you for sending me this beautiful masterpiece of my favorite instrument the violin. This is outstanding! Thank you 10/****

  • I love this soundtrack...

  • "The Village" soundtrack that is playing here is phenomenal! The entire CD is so good it gives you goose-bumps!

  • Why would anyone need God when they have Hilary Hahn to listen to?

  • Amen!

  • Excellent Comment and a significant tribute toward a young violinist.

  • When she plays I begin to recollect on what I've done and what I can do to change my bad habits. It moves the 'soul,' but more importantly, it moves our conciousness towards awareness:)

  • @Viahandel06 a very deep answer, only a broken heart can understand that depth....may be cuz i am also a broken heart.

  • @Viahandel06 well said! ;)

  • She is gorgeous!!

  • who composed this song?

  • James Newton Howard

  • Mathematics is the science of infinity with one ultimate foundation & ultimate meaning.

  • But how could mathematics ever hope to represent infinity or have one ultimate meaning when we who are finite give numbers their meaning? Not a challenge: I'm a history buff and make no claim to understand math.

  • 1 Corinthians Chapter 3 verse 11 "For other foundation can [NO MAN] lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Mathematics finds its foundation in this Biblical [GOD]. Both explain and predict History. [NUMBERS] have fixed laws which were not made by man. The first chapter of Genesis declared man to be the crown of God's creation.

Colossians Chapter 1 verse 17 "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."

Google Search "TIME HAS AN END" Fr i end.

  • BTW - - every sound that is pleasing to the ear can be described [M-A-T-H-E-M-A-T-I-C-A-L-L-Y] as the summation of what are called sinusoidal functions. The ORDER and HARMONY of TRUE MUSIC will create ORDER and HARMONY in those who listen and play it.

    It's all TRIGONOMETRIC functions really.

    With much L-O-V-E -- Friend.

  • i've studied advanced engineering mathematics before and i know what you're saying, but what i don't get is why some of you science guys try to relate everything with science and god. music is an art and analyzing it scientifically is meaningless. why can't you just sit back and immerse yourself in the beauty of this piece of music? seriously, you should learn how to appreciate art.

  • Friend,, in this most beautiful work this dear lady is counting (a simple reality mathematically). Her work inspires and motivates me. Beautiful.

The Bible [Job Chapter 38: 6-7] "Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars [S-A-N-G] together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"

Mathematical Harmony is Art just like the Modern Dark Age of Humanism is Failure with all it's "Noise".

  • Music was ordained by God, and it was given to us for enjoyment. When one wants to be a good musician, one must look to please God. Great piece of music!

  • Thank you for your comment it is just OUTSTANDING a point you make. Your Friend.

  • Beautiful video in more than one sense!

  • 0:47 is so cute! she looks so innocent

    and also 1:48

  • Nalijay, you did a great job on making this video. very nice.

  • 2:17 is one of the best pictures, I think. :)

  • very lachrymatory

  • Autumn,

    the yellow leaves,

whispering the solo in the memory's mist,

fluttering the angel's wings and falling down without a sighn.

    Winter,

    the flying snow,

dancing the ballet in the freezing wind,

playing the eternal lyric and disappearing in nowhere......

  • Elegance

    --to Hilary Hahn's 28

    Spring,

    the soft rain,

beating the rhythm upon the hope's ripples,

haunting the dreams of the sleepling nights.

    Sommer,

    the hill stream,

singing the ballad among the heart's pebbles,

sparkling the sunlight through the silent trees.

  • Venus

  • Oh my God, she plays wonderful!!

  • The real art is only the communication of different solo souls, and its beauty stay just in such quite expression, such calm harmony, between the inside and outside, which surmount the limits between the different cultures, different nations, different colors.

Hilary has such talent of the highest balance between sense and sensibility, the highest combination of confidence and humility. She ist a real Bach-Type.

    And also my type.

  • Does someone here know, is she already married? I almost direct fell in love with her when I first time saw her CD, so undescribable, not only because of the languag problems;so unbelievable, and totally conquered ...

I just hope, she can see my words, somewhere thousands miles from me...

    I love you Hilary Hahn!

  • I agree! Newbee2000 is a very ill. He also has at least 2 other handles (NewbeeXP, NewbeeVista) I have shared about 10 emails with him where he was convinced that I am Hilary. He got this idea because I unwittingly, and out of kindness, sent him a link to a concert of hers with Josh Ritter. Just ignore him.

  • That is hilarious that you got him to think you were Hilary! Yeah... he is a little off of his rocker. Stalker much?!

  • Practice, and Talent sometimes have little to do with Destiny. I feel that we are all Meant to do certain things with our lives. Apparently this young woman has found her calling in life. May we all be so fortunate one day.

  • Yes

  • I cannot express in words the adoration I have for this young lady and her music. Her dedication to her art is only surpassed by her talent. I never miss her concerts when she is in my area. After the concert she will sometimes sign autographs and you can get in a few words with her. I was fortunate to meet her on those occasions. Being a mere mortal, I walked away with one thought in my mind. "Wow".

  • but she is beautiful. There is a difference between being hot, and being beautiful.

  • This music is beautiful! I've never watched The Village. I think I might now that I've heard this gorgeous music! Hilary Hahn is so amazing on the violin. She sounds so sure of herself in every piece she plays. Thanks for the video!

  • Absolutely beautiful and calming. It's wonderful to see and hear how those who have been tremendously blessed to share God's glory and grace.

  • Such a nice and relaxing piece of music.

  • well done

    cheers

  • Yeah think you like this one, watch her play the Kornhole concerto!

  • you mean the Korngold...

  • Wow. Well done. It's interesting how haunting the way she looks and plays. And a beautiful visual mini bio. Great choice in images...

  • This video is not only a pleasure to look at, but is also a pleasure to listen to. Beautiful music!

  • that music is pretty...and so is hillary...i had a chance to meet her in New York...go to the concert and get her autograph and everything...but it was on the first day of school. :(

  • I envy your luck! and the delight that you had meeting her... I just her autograph that a friend of mine send me, my friend got it when Hilary played at Luzerne, Switzerland! =D Hilary is great!

  • amazing ty

  • very nice, both the music and the video, very well in harmoney

  • the movie may have sucked but the music didnt XD

  • nice piece of work ... good production .. want to pick up my violin and play along ... pretend you somewhere else and in love with you know who ...

  • Wow- bravo to whoever made this!

The montage is great and the music goes perfect with it! = ]

  • Thanks!! XD

  • shes just too hott for her own good. im in love lol

  • The more i hear this the better it gets

  • Have you seen the movie? This is the part where Ivy is asking the man to get medicine for Lucius. You can really hear her sadness reflected in Hahn's playing. Even when the accompaniment comes in, it still sounds as if the violin could be playing by itself, it sounds so lonely.

  • ! have seen the movie but after this i would like to watch it again to take it all in , have you any more of her work you could send up if so i will look forward to it .

  • I must admit i haven't heard her before but i like her on this showing .

  • what is the name of this piece of music? maybe someone can help me...?

  • It is called, 'Will you Help Me?' from The Village soundtrack.

  • thanks! did you ever hear the "fantasia on a theme by

thomas tallis from ralph vaughan williams?

  • Hm, this almost wants to make me get "The Village" soundtrack. The only one I am missing. Nice slideshow though.
