i have seen in some elevators with a door hold button that door close cancels it and i think that was supposed tp be the case here but the door close button did not work on this one

Ooo, EPCO Survivor fixtures. A door hold switch combined with a faulty door close button is very bad - the door close button is SUPPOSED to cancel out Door Hold.
