@bangermccrusher Shooto reps were likely not invited to early ufc's because original events were more "style vs. style" than "fighter vs. fighter" affairs. That and the fact that they were and remain some of the biggest threats to ufc fighters Id say.
@scarred10 It still is invite only, and Shooto reps would have had some of the best chances at stopping the Royce/Renzo express of early ufcs and the like.
@bangermccrusher they werent invited,it was by invite only,they wouldnt have beaten royce anyway,their ground was only ok and never did nhb rules,they didnt have any ground and pound,elbows,headbutts etc.
@CrazyTom34 pancrase started 1 month before the first ufc,that was kens first shootfight as such(before that he only did fake wrasslin) and it wasnt even shooto rules ,it was open hand to the face only and included rope escapes ,the standard in that was useless also.I would have liked to see erik paulsen invited,he was the only american who had an all round game at the time
