I was only 6 years old when I went on this ride in 1995. The whole time I was actually very oblivious to the ominous death themes in the stretch room. Now that I'm older and more understanding of the ride, it actually put goose bumps on my spine lol.

WHen I went on this ride.....i litteraly had my eyes closed the entire time while i hid in my dad's jacket for dear life. He told me there was a ghost sitting next to me and begged me to look. I seriously til this day am happy i did not look.

@TDATDIAlina Probably a four. It wasn't really that scary, and I'm a scaredy cat!! At times, since it's so not scary, you'd expect something horrifying at the end, but really there's nothing that scary in it!

My fav ride out of all the theme parks in Disney World!!!! I have been to Disney World 7 times in my life and this and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror are by far my fav rides!! Plannin another trip this july too actually!

folks, it isn't an elevator at WDW or Tokyo Disneyland. It is only an elevator at Disneyland Anaheim and Disneyland Paris.

It was built as an elevator at Anaheim and Paris because the railroad is there so it needed to go a level down. WDW and Tokyo didn't have this problem, so the ceiling rises!

The Haunted Mansion is the only WDW ride that I have a 100% clear, photographic memory of. I can't wait to finally go back this summer after 3 years. Thank you so much for posting!

It's only an elevator at Disneyland not Walt Disney World. The elevator is used to get guest under the railroad tracks that run behind the Mansion's facade.

Im starting to wonder if the times vary for the showing of the Ghost Host's body in the chamber. Cuz when I went last month they showed it for a good while, while in your video they showed it briefly. :P

You know what's funny? The pre-show/stretching room seems a lot smaller than you remember if you haven't been on the ride in 11 years. I should know; I first went on the ride in 1998, then once again last year.

When was this filmed? I've heard a horrible rumour that WDW have began skipping the pre-show out by just leaving the foyer and stretch room doors open, so the outside line just becomes a big queue through these rooms into the ride section.

@MysteryManfrom79 That rumor is NOT true...that was started as an April Fool's joke. They have never skipped the pre-show part of the attraction.
