Yeah thanx for understanding! I have never seen her slip jig so I guess "powerhousing" isn't necessarily her style...I agree though that a reel is an athletic, crisp, and sharp dance. She definitely earns her titles, and btw, does anyone know what the title of this video is/means??

I know what you mean and you are definitely entitled to have this opinion. In my opinion the style G shows on this vid, is perfect for a reel. She is attacking the dance, which to me....is how a reel is supposed to be done. C. Greaney (multiple world/all ire champ) also attacks her reel and it always end up looking clean, sharp and crisp......just how I like to see reels done.

On the other hand....I've also seen G doing her slip jigs and she does it with so much grace and control. Nothing like her reel I would say so it depends on the dance.

but that's not the problem.

it's feis rules that you are not allowed because

1 it goes against the dancer

2 it goes against the dance school as well, they don't want other schools stealing steps from other schools

It's not silly at all. Irish dance is a lot of fun and you wouldn't know because you've obviously never danced before. If you're going to say something is silly you should at least try it before saying that.

And my impression is: It looks as if they are put on stick and are forced to move over a very very hot ground. And the thought of that is just silly. Sorry if that offends you.
