@mammajama7 Yes. Chimpanzees even have culture. and an understanding of medicine. Their capacity is intruging. Look up chimpanzee memory test. They use leaves of an unpallatable tree to flush worms from their bodies. In one video on here, a chimpanzee could not remove a peanut from a fastened pole in a test tube. The chimpanzee drank water and filled the cup up with what he had in his mouth. The peanuts floated to the top and he got them.

@mammajama7 Somewhat. Orangutans actually use tools for eating, keeping rain off, etc. They are actually the most intelligent of the great apes. They even have a bigger "vocabulary" from what I've read.

@apharot When working with orangutans at rehabilitation centers in the rain forest, it is amazing how much communication there is between the orangutans and the human caretakers. It's incredible.

haha! thats what i was thinking. Looks like the camera person was simply doing things that orangutangs are known for doing.
