Granite is were I grew up. I have lots of family still there. My great grand arents were hard working people, Rufus and Mary Ferandez,Iam a Campos and proud of my town.
The person that Iam today was molded by those that I love and will never forget, my heart is in Granite.
I have to admit that this clip made me sign in to show the admiration on this and comment this shit. It is very powerful and the audio incorporated with your energy moves viewers and residents alike. Bravo Brah. Nicely done and your artist ability shines!
I love this piece. This really captures the feeling I have for the city of St. Louis. Desolate quite, peaceful, lonely, aged, and artful. I stopped by my grandfathers area (a block from Crown Candy) and its sad to see how far down it has gone. The loss of the treasure it had in its beautiful buildings, but I still feel hopeful in the small steps I saw in rebuilding. Its to bad that so many parts of the city slowly lies dying.
How dare you show this. Yes Granite City is not a perfect town but we are a good town. In fact since you did that little video things have changed. I will like you to do another 1 over the changes that happend in this city since your last 1, but all you people think about is Granite City,Il trashy and no good. Think again my friend think again.
he is right i live in granite city i have for about 18 years yes its not the safest or nicest place in america but its my hometown i talk down about granite city but most people who live here do but deep down every one who lives here loves it cuz its still home and for me it will always be home please make another video showing the better side of granite city it has changed a lot since you made this and for anyone who took the time of there day to read this thank you
I think it's more vibrant than the music gives it credit for. It's ironic to have so many good pics with the sad, soulful music. The Cardinals rock, the downtown is rejuvinating, and ballpark village will be a reality by 2010.
Nice shots and video!

What happened to the barracks and military post once called Granite City Engineer Depot at the end of Niedringhaus Ave?
edonmusic 4 years ago
the depot was sold
they have made a condo comunity
out of the place.
bken1174 4 years ago
Thanks, in 1955 there was a very smelly flour factory on Niedringhaus just at the edge of town before you got to the depot. Still there?

Granite City is one god aweful place. How can you publicly admit you live there. Relocate to the USA. Its only 10 miles or so away.
