I think after the first killing I would have border up my windows, put heavy duty locks on all doors and kept a high power hand gun by my side at all times with othe loaded rifles and hand guns about the house.
I remember being in jr high in 1978 and going to see this movie AND John Carpenter's Halloween...have not been the same since......lol...My dad took me...I was scared for days!...lol.
I've seen this flick. It was actually pretty well-made and scary ( at times ). Hell, I've always thought that it was even better than the overrated Halloween ( though it wasn't the same comercial blockbuster which that movie was ). I recomend it to any horror fan who hasn't seen it yet.
@TheTooz72 I used to watch a Shock Theater too. The one I watched was broadcasted out of Chattanooga, TN and had Dr. Shock and a puppet namd Ding Bat on it.
I would like to see this movie re-made with more detailed sceens; such as showing the scene of Emma Lou Cook getting shot in the back, rather than hear the shot from a distant. Show the gun pointed at her back, and the grimmice on her face when the bullet gets planted.
There definately could have been better angles on the cimeography!
god, i love this movie, this was one of the greatest grindhouse films ever! i saw it at the drive in when i was a kid. friday the 13th part 2, pays homage to this movie by giving jason a sack to wear on his head, only difference is, jason's hood had only one eye cut out. thanks for posting this trailer! cheers!
That has to be the most rushed narration that I've ever heard in any trailer, ever. I know that these guys often voice dozens of these at a time, but this guy sounds as though he's about to rush out of the studio en route to the bathroom.
I almost rented this a few years ago; can anyone tell me if it's any good?
don't waste your time on this cheap piece of crap. i saw this when it came out in 1976. the only things this stink-pile has going for it is the acting from dawn wells (mary-ann from gilligan's isle') and ben johnson and some nice looking classic cars. don't waste your time or money on this giant turd.

This was a good movie, and based on a true story. The 1970's was a good time for made-for -TV movies.
witchman67 2 years ago 9
@witchman67 This wasn't "made for TV", this was a theatrical release.

@witchman67 No it wasn't (70's/good time for made-for-TV movies)............it was the BEST time for them.

Rated R? I thought it was rated PG! Just what the hell is in it to make it R?
liveup5 3 years ago
It might have been Charles B. Pierce himself doing the narration.
gaIIery 3 years ago
Was that Rod Serling doing the narration?
SwanKong11 3 years ago
That would be tough since Rod Serling passed away in June of 1975, and this movie wasn't released until 1976.
But it does sound a bit like him

As has been talked about ad naseum, this inspired the look of Jason in Friday the 13th Part 2.
