C'est un code qui permet de copier les boutons utilisés par le fantôme. En l'utilisant je ne garde que la partie supérieure (item box + compteurs de temps/tour), le reste c'est le replay normal.

Pour retrouver les splits d'un ghost, il suffit de l'affronter, puis de faire quelques calculs. Le jeu donne la différence entre le fantôme et toi à la fin des 1er & 2ème tours. C'est comme ça que je faisais avant (sans le TT hack).

How much was the capture card and what size are the vids usually?

HD videos : usually 30-40 MBs per minute. A Rainbow Road video is 110+ MB, for example.
