I quite like the Funkasauras gimmick but i disagree that they tried to push Monster Heels. Mike Knox was a great talent, he looked like a badass, he was good in the ring and had a cool and unique promo style. You cannot call him a failure. If WWE refused to put him over against anyone you cannot call that a Monster heel push. If Mike Knox had been pushed like Mark Henry was in late 2010 then he could have been a major star. WWE has lost the art of the Monster heel push

Before long the former monster heel is dancing around with Santino and a midget on Smackdown or something.

How many times over the years have we seen guys like Kane, Khali and Henry constantly switch from loveable giant to monster heel over and over. It's like they can't consistently push huge men as Vince is obsessed with them. He finds it unrealistic that someone Punk or Bryans size could beat a huge man so once the monster stage passes they just turn them into a giant clown for a while

One theory I think for this time that McIntyre isn't getting a push is because of Foley's in ring comeback atm. They have the same finisher, and having the same finisher may take away some lime light on Foley's (hopefully) sort in ring return. He should be announcing or just cutting promos or something.

Perhaps after WM when Foley's hype is gone McIntyre will get more pushes.

@daproblemchild86 I never worked for TNA. I did work for WWE for 4 years. My honest opinion is there were MANY factors that led to the decrease in ratings: people tuning out around 2002 (when wrestling lost some of its luster as being cool in society), advertisers complaining about the product which led to the pg ratings and people tuning out, lack of talent,lack of development,lack of good creative teams,to many tv writers, and alot of other factors. Its never just one thing.

Until they get rid of these tv writers, build characters, let go of the past but embrace WRESTLING and not sports entertainment i cant see it really rising to much. Maybe a little.
