press and hold the menu button + select button to reset your iPod. works for me everytime.

common man, your links indicate you fixed this problem, you obviously did not. You video is lame and useless. And obviously frustrated a ton of people. We all know about problems with Ipods. Say that is what you are talking about... don't gimme bullshit that you actually have a fix for it. Unless you do, there are enough dead links on the internet.

Since this day, i have owned 2 Zunes and out of the box, i had error's and constant issues. About 3 months ago from this comment, i bought an Iphone. Never had one problem with it. And i have never looked back. Maybe they have fixed their issue in the newer ipods, but they are certainly loosing their much needed faith in customers by not wanting to fix their older stuff...

# Right click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop.

# Select "Manage" from the menu.

# Select "Disk Management".

# Find the volume that is your iPod. be careful not to select the wrong one. The 80 gig iPod will have a capacity around 74.31 gigabytes, and the 160 should be similarly lower.If you are not sure, make sure. do not proceed until you are completely sure that you know which is the iPod and that you have it selected.

no, ipod touches are crap, because Itunes, makes you buy all their music. Not download from limewire or something and import, no it will NOT let you import songs not purchased through itunes. You must either rip from a cd or something, which is too much work just to put on a damn mp3 player.

there is no fix. Other than a so called registry edit...but that didnt fix it either. If a ipod gets it, its pretty much dead...

Actually error 1418 is a file conflict with xp home xp pro vista....it's actually an easy fix...usually error 1418 occurs when someone "tweaks" or changes their themes or appearance of the os system......
