We have this piece in orchestra and we learned the entire thing in an hour. Since we have a lot or violins and hardly any violas the violins play the beginning softer than what the orchestra in the video was. It needs to be a little cleaner and some people need to use more bow and/or start more in the upper middle. At the parts where viola, cello and bass have the lead violins need to play softer. I'm in the 7th grade, have been playing violin for 5 years and my position is 1st chair.

yeah.....im in 7th grade and we played this song that speed, practiced it twice, tried it in a concert. its not a hard song. but since you got this one down try a little bit harder song like modal fesival or eine kleine nachtmusik. also, exagurate your dynamics.

Yes, as it was originally written by Doug Spata, the eighth notes are staccatos. They probably got a differently arranged version or an unlegit version of the song.
