Look up Bill Engvall-Here's Your Sign... basically the sign would say "I'm Stupid." When someone asks a stupid question or says something really stupid Bill wants to hand them a sign that says "I'm stupid." so... the "here's your sign" part is handing them the sign... obviously lol. Check him out though, he's funny.

"Here's you sign" refers to the obvious ie. when Cleatus (my new name for this stupendous character) was flying the kite and a person walked up to him and asked him if he was flying a kite...of course he is flying the kite...but the sign he gives is that he was fishing for birds lol so hope you understood
