I love Dead Space, but this ad campaign was all kinds of wrong on many levels. For example:

Exposing (mostly) older women to Dead Space, especially without warning, is just plain cruel.

Also, do we really think that people who don't play video games at all are gonna tell the difference between real life footage and bundles of code? That just doesn't happen.

Finally, the people who should be playing it would be adults; parental supervision wouldn't matter much at this time, so what's the point?
