  • Inspirational...I think I have found an additional experience to try.

  • He is as beautiful as his art.

  • I found that 150 grams of rice per sock is about the same weight as fire, just a hint hint for getting use to the weight

  • Its so beautiful like if you take picture it looks like you scripled on the picture just so amzing

  • So where/how would i learn to do this? ;)

  • I Poi Raved With The PS3 Move Controllers.. It Looked Epic But I Hit Myself Too Much XD

  • how do you get photos like 1:02? wouldn't the person be an absolute blur? he's kinda blurry but you can make him out... how do you get a clear-ish still image of him in a long exposure shot?

  • @jamyupsuhsuh I think its cuz the guy is standing pretty still, its the poi that are moving quick enough to blur

    x

  • At first I thought this said pole dancing. So I was like, CLICK :|

  • haha guy with chair at 2:07

  • I recently started, and I have a few questions about what I should buy to practice with (currently using tennis balls and socks). If anyone happens to know, is it better to buy disposable sticks or flowsticks if you're really into doing a lot bumps and things of that nature? Also do you recommend getting fabric poi for practice? Is there a big difference from my current setup, if so what? Thanks for all your help!

  • @dryoranj... If you keep buying disposables you'll waste more money in the long run. the socks and tennis ball is a great cheap setup and less painful when learning, especially the knocks on the noggin. Flowsticks are great and they are highly durable, plus you can put them on different settings. You can also buy the light up squishy poi balls. The fabric poi is good for practice and is usually easier to do hyperloops. you can also get the little swivel links to help boost amazing spins

  • ...I would get so dizzy.

  • cheer-ear-OHS!

  • To all the trolls that pushed dislike....look at the dislike bar.... now look at your penis....same size? thought so.... Nick is by far one of the best out there...Keep on inspiring people through your love of poi!!! <3 )'(

  • Watching puts you into a trance....he's very talented!

  • Beautiful and inspiring.

Now I spin daily 2 years later and have learned so much all thanks to this video and a few others. (:

    Spread the stoke!

  • Awesome firebending!!!

  • 32 people said "I can do that, that's easy" then got hit on the head clicked the dislike button instead of like.

  • GLOOOOOOOOWWWSTIIIIIIIIICKS~! :D *obnoxious yes* I'm sorry. This is just spectacular though! It's amazing, and just- epic~! So, I found this somehow related to belly dancing, and now they are both looking like the most awesome things to learn. *love* :3

  • wow, how could someone dislike this D:

  • What kind of poi do you use ? I really want to do the tricks at 1:30, I know it, I succeded with my socks, but with chains it's impossible to be regular in the tricks

(I'm french, so don't worry if something isn't said the right way in my post)

  • amazing!! im glad i "stumbled" across your videos i plan on using poi with my tirbal :)

  • i so wish you were my poi mentor you do it so gracefully

  • honestly mate that is sooooo wickid awesome:D I'm currently trying to learn how to spin poi but the discs/tut vids I got arn't very helpful and no-one else in my neighbourhood does it, thanks for posting and helping me find Playpoi.com. Keep going you are so good and watching you spin poi is really inspirational:)

  • @bonokiwi13 Take up a martial art (e.g. Taekwando) that also use nunchuks (it might be restricted to black belt only or a special program they run). Poi uses the same techniques and muscle that nunchuks do. I learned how to use chuks, then picked up poi (years later), and it was like picking up the chuks again. They are different, but I had all the basics learned and can learn new tricks really easily if I watch people and tutorials.

  • @Ulmdorgr thanks for your advice. I do a branch of karate/shuriken tricking at the moment but its mostly flips and body defense. We don't usually use weapons. Would tricking - (the fancy flips and things you see in the movies) still build up the same muscules needed to spin poi?

  • could you possibly make a tutorial explaining the thing you do at 3:20?

  • 2:28 ITS THE DUD FROM THE VIDEOS.....I THINK I SPEAK FOR EVERYONE WHEN I SAY THANKS FOR PUTTING EFFORT ON TEACHING US ON UR OTHER VIDEOS AND HOW AMAZING U CAME TO BECOME WITH FIRE I HOPE UR FAMOUSE ONE DAY :)

  • I am currently learning how to spin poi it has become a passion for me! And watching this vid makes me realize it is a passion for many others

  • Just watching this video makes me so happy.

  • In NZ we literally learned how to spin fire poi in parks & beaches & by rivers at night with people drumming in a circle. You don't need to be taught at all. Just get a group of people together and have water avail (not that I have ever seen anyone ever need to be doused in water). Practice in your backyard with non-fire poi also & voila, you can teach yourself poi.

  • @ 3:20 everybody can see, that you are really happy. i like that

  • 2:10 is the most beautiful pic, i have EVER seen. i hope, some time, is am able for this, too

  • i have a suggestion CHANGE your MUSIC it sucks for poi spinning check out leo spinning poi now that's the kind of music to spin poi to

  • Hi Nick, my name is Adrian I come from a small town in Poland. My adventure with Pol I started a year ago. Is modeled and all the tricks you learned from your videos. But move on to things. How do you have time to see a short video of my training, and write me how to get out of hyperloops. Whenever I do this trick at the end of a tangle of POIs. Please answer this, what Im doing wrong. P.S Sorry for my English, is very weak:)
