The yarn guide you bought isn't specifically made for continental knitting. It's supposed to be used for stranded colorwork knitting, most commonly known as intarsia knitting.
Some people told me you needed 100grams of sock yarn for socks. You only bought 50 grams. Can you make adult socks using 50 grams and do you knit socks using the magic loop method for all of your socks?
Can you do a review on the nickel plated needles? I was going to get those but I got the harmony wood instead. I don't know if one is better than the other.......
How goes the yarn guide? I thought about getting one on my last KP order but didn't know if they worked well as none of the stitchers I talk with online or in person use them. Also, which did you like better: wood or metal tips?
@spagetti568 a pretty long time, but I think it might have just been the time of year because a lot of packages were taking a long time. I have heard from regular customers of knit picks that their shipping is pretty slow because they use ground shipping, but the quality and price of their products makes up for it! Did you purchase any yarn?
@dierdrelefae no, I have this really cool yarn shop that I go to that has really good yarn, like luxury, wool, not like caron acrylic yarn and stuff, so I will order needles from knitpicks because they look really cool but I'll buy yarn from this store because I'm friends with the people that work there and I really don't want them to go bankrupt or anything, have you posted a video showing how to knit two socks at a time?
@spagetti568 Wow, I would love to have a local yarn shop. We live too far away from the big city where they all are in this state:P I really love the nickel plated needles from knit picks an really wanted to keep the harmony wood needles that I bought for someone else, they seemed like they would work very well.
No, because I use a web cam, it's very hard to do knitting and crochet tutorials. One day I hope to have an actual camera, so I can do things like that.
When I first started knitting, I couldn't get the hang of it at all, so my hubbie bought me knitting looms and I used those for over a year (I still use them when my hands are super cramped up and I want to knit). I finally decided to teach myself knitting a year ago and have been so addicted to it, it's easier than crocheting!
knitting is really a lot of fun, plus I love the sound the needles make when I'm knitting, it's so soothing :) I watched tons of videos on youtube for how to knit and learned so much faster than when I had tried to learn with books.
I got felici yarn in rainbow and i made two pairs of socks. You're absolutley right! It is REALLY soft!!!

You need 100 grams of yarn to make a pair of sock. I order from Knitpicks all the time and it only takes 2 to 3 days to get my order.
