True, both sides are terorrists. I just watched another video of Israeli snipers shooting innocent civlians.

And shooting rockets at israeli's and blowing yourself up, doesn't do any good either.

But the israeli's have the power to make peace, because they hold the cards. Instead of letting pals build a state, they offer subsidies to jewish "settlers" so that they can settle the rest of the land they have gotten.

They have been doing this aggressively since 67 and still won't stop.

these politics are confusing ^^' it seems as if both sides have very strong points and moot points. what *I* don't get is that if ther opportunities to achieve peace (which i am POSITIVE both sides want. who would want to see their own people dying?) why haven't these leaders put aside their egos and agree already! ...if there was ever a real opportunity for peace, the israel conflict would have already ended...i admit, tho, i don't know enough to condemn a specific side. thats y im researching!

The closest they got to peace was several years ago, but an israeli terrorist that I don't even want to mention by name took out the Israeli prime ministor before it happened.

But the israeli's need to agree to give up the west bank, and ALL the settlements. Another issue is the palestinian refugees.

In 48, israel forced out millions of arabs, and some arabs left on their own.

Even millionaire arabs lost their homes and bank accounrts, and lived in poverty in refugee camps.

Israel doesn't want refugees back, and under international law, refugees should be able to.

the Lebanese government was intelligent enough to realize that for the sake of its people it needed to listen to Hizballah and negotiate with the group if it wanted to lessen Hizballah's power rather than create further sectarian division within the country. The idea of dialog, listening, and negotiation is something that Israeli (as well as American) politics could learn from the Lebanese.
