Ron Paul is the only presidential candidate that follows nothing but the United States Constitution. He votes for, and ONLY for, things that are directly supported by the States Constitution. His voting record will show it! He is for small government, and wants to keep the government out of our daily lives. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for the beliefs of our founding fathers,

OK, yeah I posted that before I saw you wearing your UCSD sweatshirt in like 100 videos. So while I may not be the brightest bulb in the box I am not nearly as dumb as I've made myself look...hopefully.
Alright! I'm founding CFT! Civilians Fighting Terrorists! That's how the individual's right to bear arms can contribute to the war on terror. "You can send your kids out to play- We're keeping the neighborhood terrorists away."
I watched this right after watching the debate. You pointed out every subject I questioned, especially "the fence" and gun rights. The idea of promoting civilians to arm themselves against terrorism is so stupid it's hilarious. Glad to know I'm not the only one who was shocked by that statement. Love your vid!
Wow... Also, I'd love to discuss politics with you. I'm a communist/socialist (socialism is based on communism, but I'm not a socialist, I'm something in between). Also, you make your points very clear and you're a good speaker. Better than Hitler (Hitler was a good speaker.)
I feel like I just flash-backed to my intro to political science class... sad thing is, 80% of the people in there couldn't have interpreted this (your opinion) from simply watching the debate. So I thank you for enlightening those who need be.
You're exceptionally funny. Well thought out articulate points. If you ever get a chance although it's not your country have a look at the upcomming United Kingdom election battle between Gordan Brown (If he does become the next PM which is most likely) as well as David Cameron. I believe neither have any real substance and should be quite amusing to pick apart. Make more please !
Put it this way grufy stephen colberts kids names are Madeline, Peter, and John. mr govener watts here, his real name is daniel..unless mr watts is a long lost child i doubt hes the son of stephen colbert. My belife its just a catch phrase.
Who would replace all the blueberry pickers and burger flippers? How about all the millions of able bodied people sitting on their butt collecting welfare? Remember welfare reform? It was designed to do just that?
NEWS FLASH: unfortunately, most of the 4.6% unemployed people today are woefully under-skilled and/or under-educated and 17-19 years old. They're not college grads or career people. Where do you live? Japan?
Sorry, gmr2broadway. For one thing, I've no evidence you're available--or that you're female--both of which are prerequisites for my hand in marriage. For another, I'm happily taken. Thanks for the proposal, though.
You know whats funny...Clever people mostly do not want being political figures. Why, oh why?!
Either politicians were clever ONCE, but it was a LONG time ago...Right before they placed their bottoms on a nice warm place where they can sit without doing a thing. Why act if these guys can talk rubbish and enjoy being dead-heads.
Reading through the comments, I see that exentuating circumstances forced you to do the second half of your rant from your car. When you listen to the video, does anyone else think that the achoustics from those scenes is weird?
In essense, the Democrats would destroy the purpose that unions had in the first place: promote the well-being of the employees and to protect employees from harsh employment conditions.
nissan micra is what its called in europe i knew it was called something else in japan couldn't remember.i'm from ireland and my car is actually a Japanese import, they change the name when they import the cars, very interesting i'm sure.the car is in the posted video on my channel if your interested.
Yeah, I watched the video, Hughgcooney. Nissan Micra, eh? Do you know what name it's sold under in America, if any? They're great little cars, and I'd love to buy one when I get back home.
The remote control switch for my video camera. Funny story, actually: This stupid control device plugs into the external microphone jack on my camcorder. Halfway through the recording, the sound cut out because the dumb camera thought the remote control was actually a microphone, and started grabbing sound from the (nonexistent) external mic instead of the onboard microphone. That's why I had to reshoot the second half in my car in the parking lot at work.
I for one feel the billions would be better spent shipping the aged and infirm over the border, regardless of their background. Outside of that slim possibility, deregulating military technology (our motto: fun for everyone) for civilian use, perhaps even on the aged and infirm, would be promising.

You're still going to need battalions of officers to check every employer's roster of employees, AND to make sure they keep following the law. You'll need an agency larger than the IRS to do it.
Your analysis is dead on. Your views reflect a more old style (Atlas Shrugs) Liberatarian view point. Which I also subscribe to (not the new style "pot for everyone" Liberatarians). I believe that Alan Greenspan also is of this school of thought.
I work for a Japaneese company, located in Savannah, Georgia, and I could use some advice on how to deal with my on site Japaneese co-workers. Communication has been VERY difficult. A post on this topic would be most helpful.

but I don't agree with you, that less government is better. government HAS to regulate. look at china. if they go on with this unregulated pure capitalism, there are gonna be hell a lot of problems and social unjustice!
You're being ironic, right? China's society becomes freer as it embraces capitalism. The people become wealthier and their standard of living improves. Economic freedom leads to political freedom.
well, that's for sure, but that wasn't my point. if the government will not spend a lot of money to equalise the largely different living standards in the different regions and social classes, the system will certainly get real problems. it would be good if people stand up against the dictatorship, but it won't be good in economical terms, as you just stated in your video.
Yes, it will be good. Economic freedom is good. Check out my other videos, or read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged to see how welfare states inevitably collapse under their own weight.
And what about Europe? There are a lot of social systems in the different countries, some are very good and some are very bad. But all of them are far better than the US'. And neither the society nor the economy is collapsing. In fact, the economic growth was as big as in America the last few years.
They're reforming their welfare states and trimming the benefits. See the riots in France for an example of what happens when you promise something ridiculous (a job for life) and then take it away. Better never to promise it in the first place.
That's new to me! There ARE major changes because of globalisation, and there ARE old system with too much regulation, bureaucracy and unflexibility, but "collapsing" would mean like after this friday in 1929, when in a few years millions lost their jobs, and I don't see this in any way.
Great video. Love your work. I totally agree with your comments about immigration. Americans feel way too entitled. We're all too good to do the crummy, low-paying jobs, but we'll be damned if anyone else does them. C'mon, now.
your right, if they stop them the cost will go up they a lot of money from the workers pay us only 5-10 cence a pund for picing steabarrys!!! here in oregon.
You're picking strawberries in Oregon? I used to do that when I was a kid, actually. I've got relatives up there, and we'd head out to the orchards on a weekend to pick berries for fun.
not now; i did that when i was 5 with my family so we could get by. it was not fun we had to get up at 5am and worked all day in the summer. im 18 now and im at Oregon State, i look back and think no one here would ever do that job, what do you think?
Picking strawberries is fun for kids. So is pulling weeds, trimming ivy, and painting fences. Only when we become adults, when we have something better to do, does tedious manual labor become unpleasant. I don't think most adult Americans would pick strawberries today.
Your right!! Also it gave me a good work ethic. But adults would not do that type of work if they got rid of the people that do that work what you said is true the cost of everything will go up!
Ps: I hope you don't mind that I send your video to my ES class listserv you rule man!!
Politicians are awesome at telling people what they want (or really, really don't want) to hear. They sum it up too much. :P Give me the details.. Jeesh..
This was awesome. You really seem to know what you're talking about.
Ahh I love your Gov. Watts! I don't really like your recent videos though. =( Take more time on them like on this one and we'll all be happy! ^.^

Hey Guv,
Nobody has to 'round up' anybody.
1. Secure the border.
2. Punish illegal employers severely.
3. Eliminate social benefits for non-citizens.
Most illegal aliens will go home the same way they got here, ON THEIR OWN.
Those that remain can be deported as they are caught by EXISTING law enforcement.
With a price tag to the American taxpayer of $22,000/year per illegal immigrant household, 2,000 miles of fence is a BARGAIN!
BTW, there's over 30 million illegals here.

Actually, I've been involved in German Politics and am a student of French politics. The economies of Europe ARE colapsing.

That's new to me! There ARE major changes because of globalisation, and there ARE old system with too much regulation, bureaucracy and unflexibility, but "collapsing" would mean like after this friday in 1929, when in a few years millions lost their jobs, and I don't see this in any way.

"Where will you find the billions for your raids on Home Depot parking lots?" LOL! That cracked me up.

Great video. Love your work. I totally agree with your comments about immigration. Americans feel way too entitled. We're all too good to do the crummy, low-paying jobs, but we'll be damned if anyone else does them. C'mon, now.

The best political commentary I have ever heard. I actually learned a lot.

your right, if they stop them the cost will go up they a lot of money from the workers pay us only 5-10 cence a pund for picing steabarrys!!! here in oregon.
Arnulfonoodle 4 years ago
You're picking strawberries in Oregon? I used to do that when I was a kid, actually. I've got relatives up there, and we'd head out to the orchards on a weekend to pick berries for fun.
GovernorWatts 4 years ago
not now; i did that when i was 5 with my family so we could get by. it was not fun we had to get up at 5am and worked all day in the summer. im 18 now and im at Oregon State, i look back and think no one here would ever do that job, what do you think?
Arnulfonoodle 4 years ago
Picking strawberries is fun for kids. So is pulling weeds, trimming ivy, and painting fences. Only when we become adults, when we have something better to do, does tedious manual labor become unpleasant. I don't think most adult Americans would pick strawberries today.
GovernorWatts 4 years ago
Your right!! Also it gave me a good work ethic. But adults would not do that type of work if they got rid of the people that do that work what you said is true the cost of everything will go up!
Ps: I hope you don't mind that I send your video to my ES class listserv you rule man!!

Politicians are awesome at telling people what they want (or really, really don't want) to hear. They sum it up too much. :P Give me the details.. Jeesh..
This was awesome. You really seem to know what you're talking about.
