Oh gosh, this was absolutely fabulous. I am amazed at the talent these performers showcased. I desperately wish more people were like these folks; diving right in, unafraid, with the classics and entertaining random strangers. Brilliant!
I like this trend. There is a vacuum from the 19th C. tradition of chamber music in the home. Chamber orchestras in the mall may just be what fits the bill. Who knew.
@Morehead900 The second number is the famous Presto (also called "the storm" for how ferocious it gets) from Vivaldi's Four Seasons - Summer. I believe the key is G minor, but it's been a while since I've played it.
The thing that I love most about this is that there is a compelling nature to live classical music that you can't get in most recordings; people who might never be captivated by a classical radio station can get a taste of the beauty and power of the music when they walk right through it. People who would never go to a concert hall, because they didn't know they'd like it.
I'm black and I loved it! Great job

Why are the police there? Is it illegal?
vico100 1 year ago
@vico100 It's Mall Security and they are likely providing security to make sure nothing happens to disrupt the shoppers or the performers

Whoever thought of the idea of bringing ISO music to the people, knows human nature. If you go to the people, the people will come to you.
CONGRATULATIONS, Zach! Your DAD is surely PROUD of you, and so must be the ISO.

Love this! The escalator entrance is great, Zach! :) Wish I had been there. I think it's awesome that the ISO does this sort of thing.
