Hi, my name is jenny and im under daughter youtube so, dont panic...i did daycare for 7 yrs. lic. threw Michigan and then went back to work and realized not for me! so, im going to be startting in the next month back to daycare..can't wait!
Do you have to have a family childcare home license? I live in NC & had to become licensed- which is a big headache & they only allow me 5 children max (including my own) so if you have 3 of your own, like I do, it's really hard to make much money off 2 daycare children but I guess every lil' bit helps. Thanks 4 sharing! :-)
@Fairy20Tails I charge 20- per day Too (Gaursnteed), if the Child is Sick I Still Get Paid & on the Child's Days off or Vacations I Get 1/2 the Rate. But if I want the Day Off or can't work I Don't Charge. It's not ALot but it Helps both the Parent & Me. any Babyfood or special Foods the Parents have to supply. & Diapers & Wipes too they supply. I LoVe taking care of Kids, Everyday is Different
Why are you working for little money? I'm just curious not being sarcastic. I am going to start childcare soon and I'm going to charge $100 per child per week. So with 6 kids that would be a lot more than what you're doing. Are you doing child care through the state? Would like your info since I've never done this before and going to start by next month. :)
im a stay at home mom as well.loved the video lots of good points i tryed doing the babysitting but after my son was born it just did work out. it can be a challange.
yahoo groups has one called freecycle. I love it. everything is free and you pick it up orwhat ever deal you work out. I got sssoooo much stuff for my kids on there. there is toys games furniture clothing anything you need. You can also post what you are looking for. we got first camper on there and it was AWESOME! Stove fridg 2 beds heat AND best of all it was FREE! some things are not worth the drive but most is great stuff.
yay! Im a stay at home as well and right now Im watching 3 kids age 2, 7 and 12 plus my 2 kids age 7 and 9. Im only getting $20 per kid per day but its honestly all they can pay. And I work from 7am-5pm. I feel like im working and earning money plus im helping them out by not charging too much. I dont drive either so that saves : ) and Im totally into the garage sale thing...love it so much!
@mrslovinglife2006 there are very few ppl that can make an actual living off of youtube and most have second jobs. And like she said they can fire/cancel your adsence at any moment for any reason, they dont even have to give you a reason why. Those ppl, may be making loads of money right now but it can be taken away any second.
We don't have cable either-been five years, and i actually think it is a cool thing.I spend my free time doing other things. And if i feel desperate to see something,i rent a movie,or watch Youtube ,) I think you made the right choice for you and your family and THUMBS UP for that.Everyone is different, everyones life is different, and I completely understand why you do things the way you do. :) Way to go MOM! :)
I used to run a small daycare from the home too. However, when Reagan started homeschooling and I had 3 to school, I gave it up. It got to be too much. I guess that's a good thing because here I am pregnant with baby #4 now. LOL!
@mrslovinglife2006 I was partner for a few months. I problem is that google owns adsense and they cancelled my account. They said I had the potential for "unauthorized clicking". I am not sure if someone clicked on my ads multiple times or if I was just picked randomly, but I was making about $5.00 a day when then cancelled my partnership. No questions, no changing their minds, just done forever. They do this often so you can never count on youtube.
@TheStayAtHomes I have heard this a lot by many Youtubers. They can even delete your videos so if you want them save them. They can even delete your account anytime. There is a lot of things wrong with relying on youtube money. one day it may be gone and what are the people going to do with when they are not getting that income anymore?
I stay at home to break even, too. I was a public school teacher and I now have a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old. Daycare costs would be ridiculous! Plus, my commute was 45 minutes each way, which costs a lot in gas and in quality time with my family. It's nice to stay home, but it's a lot more work than people think!
@JSKA980405 I checked into it a long time ago- I am in the states and if you have a certain number of kids you do need to have a license..but I can't remember the number- I am not sure if each state has a different rule, but the info. is out there. (I used to take care of 3-4 kids and I didn't have a license)
@julissa905 I just posted my daily schedule on my website at clutterbug.me / printables under kids stuff. I stick to it like glue! That will give you a good idea of what our day looks like!
