Such a great debut album, makes for a great live show. Cool-ass band, I like everything about em', coming from an extreme old-school BM/DM fan too. Anyone can clearly see the Mercyful Fate similarities, but these guys have a much catchier sound and overall effect IMO.

Portal is an extreme metal band (black/death). Their music is way different from Ghost. I Think one has nothing to do with the other, beside the clothing They can co-exist nicely together. Ghost has a great retro sound. Didn't know what to think of those guys in the beginning. But now...I've purchased the cd. I love it. It's different from the other bands we listen to (much more heavy). But still, they rock and once you've discovered the beauty of it.......

I know what you mean. You would expect a more extreem type of music. I had that in the beginning also. But, since we saw them (we didn't have the cd before the concert) they convinced us, eventhought we usually are more in the extreme or heavier type of music. I don't know what happened. I think while playing, they secretly converted us :-) Could it be a spell......?
