Speedy!!, long time fan. Maybe you can answer a question. I've been reading German to learn it and discovered the idea of an impressum. I get the idea but it's confusing because in the US most every site isn't owned by a person but a company/organization. What would one do then. I noticed that google at google.de doesn't have an impressum. Why would anyone put their private information on the net? That's a bad practice. We've settings in facebook to stop that sort thing cause it's a bad idea

near Essen, they could have a little accent. There are many differences between accents but also are they a little bit the same. i hope i could help you^^

Hm. Hard question.^^ I would say no, not really but we have little dictionaries for our dialects^^

So there are words. But i can tell you, (i often go to Cologne) they just have a little accent. I didn't hear anybody with real other words. They are mostly just a bit different, but ..hm for me its easy to hear what they mean^^ Well, i don't know how it's gonna be with you^^ you just have to have a good understanding in "normal" German, then you should understand;)[sry my english isn't best today]

We got a lot of accents too.

In north germany the (let's call it) hardcore accents sounds like dutch. (my father is dutch, and we were on vecation nearby the North Sea, and he understood everything, while i had no idea what they where talking about.)

And south germany is like texas : no one likes them, and no one understands what they are talkign about ;)
