People forget what a great QB Germaine was. IIRC, he had the misfortune to be third on an NFL depth chart with Kurt Warner and Trent Green in front, and it just never happened for him.

Whats weird is cooper was the one who took arizona state to its first rose bowl and won it. Kinda strange that hes the one to take down arizona state in this one. Still a great game but kinda a shame.

ohio state was dicked out of the national title this year. florida and ohio state both went undefeated until the last game of the year, and then lost to their rival, then defeated an undefeated team in their bowl, they should have split the title

This was before the BCS mess. Florida State man handled the gators before their rematch. The voters got caught up in the hoopla when Florida went to the shotgun and spanked the criminoles in the Sugar Bowl.

fsu won by 3 in the regular season, uf won the rematch by 32 points big difference

Cooper was a great guy and a fantastic coach.  His problem was he was never able to grasp the intensity of the OSU-scUM rivalry. If he had been able to beat M*ch*gan and win the bowl games, he would have been God hahahaha.
