I just want to say thank you. I have recently gotten a lot of games, meaning a lot of rules reading, and these instructions are as lengthy as Arkham Horror. I was hoping someone had the idea (expecting the game publisher) of giving a good overview of the rules, and found this. You have done a great job of explaining the game, so now when I read the booklet it will be as a reinforcement. And I like the jokes and accents, well done. Now to rewatch Bram Stoker's Dracula for the millionth time.
Very sorry to point this out... but you say time stops as soon as dracula is at sea. I do not find that in the rulebook. It's not very logical either, why should time stop because of dracula sailing the 7 seas? What dracula can't do at sea, is using his special powers (hide, double back, feed, wolf form or dark call)
thanks! this looks like too much fun. it's like the old tsr minigame, 'vampyre' much more detailed! Dracula has the physical power of ten men, according to the book. happy to have a dracula boardgame. it's been a long time since 'vampyre' game of the hunt for dracula the old tsr minigame, 1981.
Thank you for your review!!! Because of the price of this game and I cannot find it used I really appreciate this review!!! I enjoyed the detail of game play you put into the video. I own Garibaldi and the game seems promising BUT, it is short and just not really any action. I am looking for this style of game and I hope it will settle my cravings...!
I'll just let you know that the game is brilliant. It's much more fun if you can get 5 players total but you can do two players if you want. 1 player Draculat other player all four Hunters.
I don't know if he's read Dracula or not, but in the book Dracula is very much like he is in this game. He's escaping his persuers for about half the book. When he encounters them he runs away instead of fights.
The problem I have with this game is that there is a lot of chrome that isn't used that much. I guess it's cool that it's there, but every time I play this game I'm left disappointed somehow, like I was expecting more.
The one problem I see with this game is that it requires the Dracula player to have a very good memory or keep looking at their stack of cards to see where they have been.
Actually not a problem. We played four times, I played for Dracula 3 of them - and have no difficultes in our last game. You just ask the hunters to say where they are. It makes the situation easier.

Except that Scott doesn't do useful high quailty reviews anymore. Now he focuses on variations of game mechnics.

That was it, a B rated game not good enough for me to get as a gift, as I wanted something special.
I have enough co-op games to look forward to tbh. Though there ain't many out there.
